Can you feel the malaria kicking in, a bout of the Manchester flu or even a touch of Midweek Madness? Don’t fret as on call for this evening’s out of hours session are the good practitioners at Fantasy Football Scout and co, doing our best to ease your last minute ills.

In around about one hour’s time the doors slam shut on another gameweek of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) action so let’s get a quick diagnosis and have you on your way…

“I’ve got Fabregas and Drogba in my team and now I want one of Torres or Tevez too, who can I sneak in there to afford such expenses?”

Having frisked the fixtures just last we would suggest that Stoke, West Ham and Wolves – not exactly glamourous or highly performing sides to date – could all provide options to fill that gap. Sir Paulos’ has also gone into more detail looking at the West Ham strikeforce in another top notch Technical Area piece.

“The armband. Where should it go?”

The consensus among the voting public sways very much in favour of Didier Drogba, today’s revelation that he has recently been suffering from malaria (blimey!) but is now okay to play may cause a few questions to be raised; and if so Fabregas, Torres and team-mate Malouda are leading the peleton just behind.

“Are all my players fit and accounted for?”

Check out our Team News and Injuries and Bans for all of this weeks information collated into one easy resource. It certainly looks like Fergie will be fretting ahead of Wednesday’s big derby game.

The Chatroom is open early and awaiting those looking to get their brains into gear in this last hour of panic with questions like these and many more, keep on track though… the clock is ticking.

    well lads, it was a bit of a watershed evening, with a new piece of verbage entering the Fantasy football scout discursive lexicon;

TO do a Buggu- refer back to something you said when it comes true , but not have any proof (laterly turning evolving consquently into Buggu-marking; bookmarking a post with a prediction in it with the express intentionof NOT referring back to it if it proves innaccurate, but loudly proclaiming it if it somehow comes true, thereby, in theory, gaining respect, but usually just causing annoyance)

To play your Wayne Card- a humourous epispode years ago when a poster couldnt work out how to play his wWIld card. IN all the confusion and hilarity, we duly named the wildcard after him.

TO be alonso'd; TO have some absolute fanny-dodging cnut come on the site and post something that may effect transfers, sub orders, 4 point hits, captaincies etc. with the express intention of causing meaningful confusion.

ANyway, did i tell you all i transfered fabs out for Stephen HUnt in? It's been Buggu'd, trust me 🙂

These should be added to the glossary of this site then. Talking about this terms about being alonso'd why would ppl fall for it speially when he posted it more than an hour before the game whih is too early for any kind of team news anyways. Not saying that what he has done should be taken lightly but others were also at fault too.

An up and down night for me. I missed the transfer deadline for the first time this season. Fortunatly I made my transfers yesterday and because of Elmo missing out I'm forced to play the XI I would have picked anyway. Only thing is I have Cesc as captain which worries me...I was thinking today I would leave it with him but I probably would have bottled it and gone Drogba.

Also went down to Argyle vs Exeter tonight. Cracking game as a neutral. Was just with the wrong set of fans when it came to celebrating.

Oh...I also got COD. I'm shi*.

I really hope I get some points from Jose Enrique tomorrow night.
I've had him since the start, no BPs, no assists.
I've benched him for 2 of his 3 CS.
Don't get me wrong, I think he's an absolute class act (2nd only to Cashley LBs in Prem ATM IMO).
Unfortunately his time has come to leave my team. A straight swap for Simpson (0.6 will come in handy).
Isn't it a shame when a top quality player just does not equate to points in FPL?
On the flip side, look at the crap players who score really well in FPL (Barry Ferguson anyone? Lee Bowyer last year?)
Ah well, so long Jose...your parting gifts to me....a pinpoint cross for big Andy to nod home, and a rasping left foot drive from the edge of the box into the top corner. PS a cleanie too would be nice...
Good night all, looking forward to tomorrow

The Alonso post was also carefully typed out in the usual format that you see line-ups posted as too, so that it looked like the text had been copied from a legitimate source.

It wasn't like he did this:

Gomes, BAE, Hutton, Kaboul, Gallas, THud, Modric, ... Subs: Bale

    Mignolet, Elmo, Bramble, ...

Allied to the fact that every other line-up that has been posted on this site has been correct in the past, and that the site crashed leaving people panicking, I can totally understand why some people made transfers based on Alonso's 'advice'.

I mean, you're not going to be expecting that someone's actually trying to screw you over as it hasn't been done on here before, even if in hindsight you might wish that you'd checked another source.

MY defense is an absolute shambles for this weekend so im looking for some inspiration:

    Coleman - Ars H
    Elmo - Che A
    Dann - City A
    Faye - Liv H
    Bosingwa - Rotation risk

Planning on bringing in Simpson for Dann/Faye. Might even take a hit to swap Bosingwa to Cole/Ivan/Alex if he doesn't play.

Any suggestions? (i know it's early doors just want some ideas)

Its a decent defense, just not for this week, I'd look at bringing in Alex pehaps just to be sure he will play every week. Just suck it up, its only one bad week for your defense.

I hade to play Samba and Elmo(now Alcaraz) this week so know how you feel.

I have no objection to managers playing mind games, lying through their teeth about who is fit, sick, tired, drunk or anything else, but you would think knowing how peoples lives and happiness hang in the balance. That they would have the common decency to let us on FFS know what the real team was to be in plenty of time for GW deadlines.

I have cashley too, lets hope for a cleanie, a goal, an assist and 3 BP's from him!!

i would be happy with a cleaie and an assist, perhaps 1 BP to round it off to 10, I think this is a game where he could get 6 or something great like 15, so her's hoping, Worried i didn't go for Drogs too though.

Dont get me started on cashley i was actually going to swap k.toure out for him and captain him i had such a good feeling about him. Then i suddenly at the last minute took out berbatov (my favourite player) for tevez. Incidently ive captained fabregas over drogba im biting my nails down to the wrist

I changed to drog during the last hour. I can see Fab scoring well but with most other people in my mini league captaining Drogba or malouda i wanted to cancel that out.

I've got a few classes. Mostly running claymores, ghost, ninja and slight of hand (or w/e the reloading one is called), using the guns

Famas, M16, MP5K, and one of the first assault rifles that you get with surpressers.

Been pretty fun! I want 9 kills though for chopper gunner. Only got a maximum of 7 kill streak so far not including the RC car

Lets not go into this debate about reality! All I can say is that running and gunning with a bolt action sniper against a guy with an AK or MP5 stacks the odds massively against you. There is a skill element from COD4 (pre- sleight of hand pro) sniping that has been lost in Black Ops. Shots dont register unless youre zoomed in for 3+ seconds? As if a sniper wasnt disadvantaged enough as it is!

That aside, loving Wager Matches. No hardcore headquarters is a load of Ballacks though.

Theyve made it harder across the board. All guns have more recoil, there's no stopping power or commando and it's harder to snipe etc.
