After the frenzy of last week, I’d like to take the opportunity on this relatively sleepy Monday night, to announce and introduce you to a couple of new Fantasy Football Scout team members.

Firstly, the keen eyed amongst you will have noticed a certain Elfozzie making the odd comment post over the past few months. This shady character has been in the background after coming on board in the Summer, during which time he helped me out with some of his hard-earned, and basically supported me to create and launch the Members area. Elfozzie is the Scout’s Business guy – responsible for helping me to turn this site into something other than a pleasurable time sink that gets me into trouble with my girlfriend and destroys my social life. Elfozzie will be to blame if I’m still here doing this in a couple of years.

Johnfinlay meanwhile, has joined the team as our day-to-day news reporter and all-round editorial machine to provide coverage during the daylight hours, when the rest of us should be doing our 9 to 5 jobs. John will be chipping in with tweets, articles, team news, helping out with moderation on the comments and generally pushing the site on to be more prolific than ever. Almost half my age and full of these things I can vaguely remember called “energy and enthusiasm”, John is the Jack Wilshere to my Liam Brady. Liam Brady’s not dead yet is he?

You read more on both these characters in the freshly updated Meet The Team page right here.

Welcome aboard Elfozzie and Johnfinlay!

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

i prefer davies at home coz he is sometimes unplayable at home n scores goals n assist regularly with bp n he is on pen too ...elmander isn't completing the full 90 minutes which is a big worry although he is scoring but he scores mostly away from home...

Terry's been rubbish for quite a while now. Alex and Ivanovich is probably the better pairing going on the calendar year's form.

Im not so sure. With Alex seemingly injury prone, and Terry out, and Essien out, and difficult fixtures, clean sheets may be few and faw between for Chelsea.

I remember a few seasons ago when Terry got injured and I bought his replacement, and learned the hard way that without a full strength defence, teams concede. See Foster starting for United last season when VdS was out.

    Krul Foster
    Coleman Shawcross Konchesky Elmo Jara
    Fabregas Malouda Arteta Adam Ferguson
    Drogba Tevez Carroll

    Planned transfers for this week:
    Malouda, Elmo OUT
    Nani, Kolarov IN

Also leaves me 1.4 in the bank
Giving Arteta one more week (don't think it's worth another hit to get him out just yet)

Going to wait a few more days before pulling the trigger, but does it look good?

      I would bench Jags
      1. Bolton have one CS all season, but they play at home against a Newcastle side without Barton and possibly Carroll
      2. Everton play away at Sunderland who is on top of the world right now and have on form strikers Gyan and Welbeck

    I just did

    Elmohamady > Kolarov
    Dempsey > Jarvis

    Leaves me with

    Carson (Mignlolet)

Vidic - Kolarov - Foley (Simpson - Coleman)

    Fabregas - Nani - Lee - Jarvis - Bale

    Drogba - Torres (Odemwingie)

0.8 in the bank to do Mignolet > Fabianski or Jaask next week.

Am I alone in hanging onto Malouda? Everyone seems to be selling him?

The reason why I'm keeping him and not Drogba, is because there are more viable expensive strikers to replace Drogba with, like Tevez, Torres and Rooney, whereas, considering I have Nani anyway, there aren't as many midfielders with the goal threat of Malouda once Chelsea sort their form out.

      I think it's the opposite.

Who are you going to replace Drogba with?

Torres is injury prone/not fully fit, Rooney is coming back from injury, Tevez plays for City etc...

Malouda on the other hand has to fend off Fabregas, Nani, Van Der Vaart, Bale, Cahill, Gerrard and Young even.

I can go with Tevez/Rooney/Torres based on fixtures and if they're messing around getting low points, then I can get Gyan/Bent and Balotelli/RVP plus a cheapie like Elmander.

Malouda still plays very advanced for a midfielder, basically as far forward as Anelka. I think it's important to hang onto one of Malouda or Drogba, and Malouda is still capable of decent scores as he has shown from the middle of last season up until mid-October of this year.

Well that's your call, but I'd prefer Drogba every time because he's on setpieces and penalties.

Malouda is also more likely to be subbed for Kalou or Sturridge.

            I definitely agree with Camzy.

Drogbas competition as you mentioned: Tevez, Torres, Rooney.

Tevez - lack of form, returning from injury.
Torres - has a knock, ok he scored 3 but i'm still not convinced especially after yet another setback.
Rooney - again, massive lack of form, returning from injury as well as psychological problems.

Tevez does however have excellent fixtures and will no doubt be involved in everything City do.

The whole malaria thing has clearly affected Drogba but I just don't believe he will carry on scoring low, he will get the service and when he returns to form, I can see him exploding. If he's not in your team, you're going to suffer!

I agree Camzy, not to mention the lower priced options of Brunt, NZogbia, Jarvis and Adam who have all outscored him in the last 8 weeks. Good strikers are hard to find, whereas there are quite a few decent low to mid priced midfielders

I'm definitely hanging on to Drogba and probably Malouda too.

I wont sell Drogba cause that will come back to hurt me.

I will keep Malouda since he basically plays striker for Chelsea, and at 10m for an OOP Chelsea striker, is well worth it. Mark my words people will regret selling him.

A few times Malouda has come very close to scoring (e.g. during Liverpool match) and been unlucky. People talk about rotation with Kalou - sure Mal will be rested occasionally, thats true of most players. When fit though he will start.

How will he be cheaper? He has been 10.4 for a LONG time. If you sell him, you are relying on his bad form persisting for quite some time for his price to drop enough for you to pay less when he you want him back.

        Definitely not worth a hit.

Lennons injury will have to be monitored as it looks like VDV will play on the right in his absence.

Harry reverted to 442 against Blackburn and saw Spurs score 4 as well as a missed penalty/open goal and array of missed chances. Spurs looked much better and more comfortable

I can't see Defoe starting tbh, I'm hoping it'll be 442 again which will probably see VDV's points limited somewhat as he is not as involved when playing on the right which makes Bale the better option imo as he's cheaper.

Camsy, what you think about some Bolton "action" in gw14-19?

I would like to get KDavies, but don't want to drop Carrol/tevez/Drog.

                Lee/M Taylor maybe?

I'm in a similar sort of position.

I want Bolton attacking players, but there's really no space in my team for them.

Midfield wise, Bolton aren't all that great. Lee is the best prospect, but he doesn't get involved all that much.

Up front, I don't want to drop Drogba/Tevez/Carroll (my strikeforce since gameweek 1 who have delivered consistently) and defensively, I don't think Bolton are all that.

I think I may just have to do without...

Unnecessary use of points , even if Nani scores six means hes only really scored two and ethrington and Tevez might even outscore the other two this week.

      Haha yeah I am! Thanks!

I was top of the Rovers and USA leaderboard for a while too.

I don't try to think about that though. I don't have any real rivals I try to beat, only my own personal ambition. It doesn't matter what players other people choose, what matters is that I choose the players I think are going to do well.

However, I have started to compare my score to the overall leader. I'm now 51 points behind, but last week I was 58 behind, so I'm actually making ground in my quest for no. 1!

Nani. He's United's creative force, and his consistency has really been impressive this season. No reason not to expect double digits this week.

Fabregas will probably score well too, but it's Tottenham, it's a derby, and it could end up 0-0 or 4-3. There's also the blood rush aspect, and Fabregas hasn't been the most disciplined player this year. I'm afraid he might might get sent off, and a sent off captain is just too big a risk...

Guys, I've got to say I think the Kolarov fever is a little mistaken. Firstly, Boateng, Bridge, Lescott and Zabaleta can all play LB. As we no the abundance of talent at Man City makes rotation a serious consideration.

Secondly, just because he scores the occasional spectacular goal, doesn't make him a good fantasy pick. Over the last 3 seasons he's totalled 7 goals and 2 assists in all competitions. That's negligible attacking returns.
