Some of us have been snowed in, some of us have been knocked down by winter viruses for more days than they would wish and others are just waiting for Fernando Torres to shine a light on their season. I confess, all those three are me so enough of the pity party as we’ve got one final fixture to close out gameweek sixteen.

    Wow if Malouda is banned and Lampard is back, would seriously consider these moves:
    Malouda => Lampard
    Drogba => Torres

    If Malouda gets no ban I'll probably just do the second one this week...

          The problem with Lampard that no one seems to remember is that even BEFORE injury, he was playing REALLY far back. Like...not even entering the box. Like, Barry Ferguson Mikel Arteta style.

          I think people are just really desperate for an expensive player besides Tevez to actually play to their price tag.

          If Lampard is used as he was last year, I'll totally want him. But him just being healthy isn't enough of a reason.

    hmm i've taken point hits the last 3 weeks and i dont wanna do it again so what transfer shud i make?

    lowry > kyrgiakos (prolly low priority as i have baines, vidic, ridgewell, and kolarov)

    drogba > tevez (prolly a good transer, especially with tevez's fixture / form)

              Lowry can easily wait its a totally none important transfer because he'll be your last choice anyway id say get rid of kolarov hes suspended and you have hart pointless holding on to him to then be doubling up the following week it doesnt make sense

                  Do you advocate doubling up on defence? Even a good defence. Id say that the money is spread out too much in that team id downgrade kolarov to jara to raise money to improve elmander then i reckon the team is good for the long term.

                    I generally don't like to double up. But in this case, Lowry needs to go first before Kolarov.

                    kolarov is a threatening going forward so i dont wanna drop him but i see ur point. i do need to free up money, maybe bale > etherington or something idk havent thot about it.

                    and the thing about transfering out lowry is cause w/ kolarov out i only have 3 defenders (+lowry) and if a game gets called off, who knows what'll happen..

                    Id say keep kolarov because of his attacking potential and lose hart but as youve said your defenders need looking at first and foremost. If you are set on swapping out lowry just get danny simpson, foley e.t.c and save the money because a fully fit/suspension free squad would see you having an expensive player on the bench if you bought kyrgiakos instead of using that money to improve your first choice eleven.

                    Keep Kolarov. Swap Lowry to someone else. If you have no idea about who to bring in, check the watchlist. I got a very simple principle or rule in my 3-year FPL experience, is that everyone in my team must be a regular starter. That's why I choose Konchesky instead of Kyrgiakos.

      Latin American families tend to be very tight knit. I've always assumed it was grandparents, etc. that keep them there as they would likely be uninterested in moving.

    Is it worth a 4 point hit to do van der sar and Cole to hart and baines? I'm thinking both hart and baines are good for a cleansheet and baines high chance of attacking returns as well.

      Just do cole to baines if youre going to do any of those but i wouldnt take a hit doing both. In my opinion vds and cole are season keepers so id do nothing or another transfer altogether

          Is it a bad thing to double up on city defenders though? They seem to be the only team capable of keeping a cleansheet regularly and Kolarov has great attacking potential.

            I think doubling on man city defense is sound. Good fixtures, defensive set up. Can see them winning a few of the next games 1-nil, not sure about the trip to west ham though without tevez and kolarov
