Some of us have been snowed in, some of us have been knocked down by winter viruses for more days than they would wish and others are just waiting for Fernando Torres to shine a light on their season. I confess, all those three are me so enough of the pity party as we’ve got one final fixture to close out gameweek sixteen.

The news that Fernando Torres wife has gone into labour (oh god, not that old chestnut again!) will cause many, myself included, to kick up a storm as Ryan Babel comes in to replace the Spanish maestro this evening. Some end to the gameweek. Teams in full are…

Liverpool XI: Reina; Johnson, Skrtel, Kyrgiakos, Konchesky; Kuyt, Meireles, Lucas, Maxi; Babel, Ngog

Villa XI: Friedel; L. Young,Dunne, Collins, Warnock; Albrighton, Clark, Hogg, Downing; Ireland; Agbonlahor

As always the Dugout Discussion is open late night today as we see what Houllier can do on his first return to Anfield.

It's mainly because of his personality, although I think he's getting better in that respect. The way he constantly berates the umpires is pretty poor, and his whole attitude in general stinks. Throwing the ball at Zulqarnain in the summer was one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen.

I also don't particularly rate him as a cricketer. He does next to nothing with the ball, and his batting is vastly overrated.

Meh. Sure that one spell at the Oval won us that game, and subsequently the series, but I doubt we'd have struggled so much in the first three games if he hadn't been playing. He contributed next to nothing until about 3 and a half tests into the series.

                    Well, that's the problem...

He's good enough to be in the side, but he's still vastly overrated, and as you probably know, I take offence to players being overrated.

Regarding his batting, he's the best England number 8 I can remember since I've been watching Test cricket. This says as much about England's batting as it does about his skills. We used to have a longer tail than Peter North.

hmmmmm- he has improved, but he's still too much effort and northern steel, not enough end product.

Because nobody knew who he was and everybody capable of hearing should.

It's not their fault though- it's culture. Most people would rather go see one direction...

Oh put it up your pipe. I'm sure plenty on here have heard plenty of classical music, especially the well known likes of Bach, Dvorak, Beethoven, Mozart, etc etc etc etc but it's absolutely fine and dandy with me if they don't recognise the musician from an oil painting.

well not the only other contender but Cook won't get it ahead of KP run wise and so a 5-fer might help but I highly doubt it.
