Mark makes a Bale appeal and gets a Bale refusal and for now is still a custodian to the assist rules of the FPL. Oh, Bales!

Still though, he’s served his time well having pulled back my precious lead, thanks to his Liverpool defendants. It’s a fair Kop Guv.

Of course, as with any turn of fortune for Mark, witness a flip side as Granny’s miffed makes an unwelcome return for the prosecution.

Scout discussion in this week’s dock – The difference between an assist and an ‘assist’.

want to bring in a pool defender. want to get krygious but he seems an uncertian starter? will i take the gamble?

also i was about to get rid of elmo but read an article during the week about bruce praising him and saying he needed a break for a while and that he has big polans for him, will i gamble on him starting?

I think Kyrgiakos is safe for at least a few weeks until Agger gets to full fitness. Worth a look.

I'll sell cole as soon as I can spare a transfer. I don't beleive that its a good idea to "hold onto" players who are not scoring well, particularly when they cost as much as Chelsea's boys do. Sell now and simply buy them back should they return to form. If you are worried about loss in value consider that their value is likely to drop in the meantime so shouldn't lose you too much to buy them back later.

Such a tough week this! I was meant to get Nani back for Arshavin as i already have nasri but i want to stay loyal to the gooners! Also want to get Torres in but unsure if this is the best week as he is playing away. Who knows how Newcastle and Carroll will play! Who to captain, Decisions, decisions!

Im not even getting Nani! He'll keep till after the Chelsea game. This could be my downfall! Torres is tempting, Baines is a longshot and i can see Drogba scoring against a poor Spurs defence.

Yeah he has scored well.i got rid last week for Arshavin as i thought he'd score big against Fulham, could have done aswell! My defence will be Baines, Konchesky and Dann (because Kolarov is suspended). Tell me about it, we were in control of that match, still..i've got a feeling we are going to beat Utd. Foster/Robinson
    Jags/Ridgewell/Toure/Elmo/Jara
    Nani/Malouda/Nasri/Adam/N'Zogbia
    Drogba/Elmander/Carroll

Yeah mate, I'm leaning towards Onouhua long term, some good fixtures coming up.. Huth isnt bad for his attacking potential but Stoke have some tough fixtures.. Kyrgiakos is an option, but im also considering Skrtl, assured of a start and is quite attacking

    Hi guys.
Wanting to trade out Barton this week. I know he's good value, but I'm willing to spend a bit more to upgrade for a long term keeper.

Who is a better prospect Ethers, MGP, NZog or Brunt.
I'm leaning towards Ethers as I think he will score more than all of them. Has a tasty fixture this week allbeit having to prob bench him for the next 2 after

Welbeck. Except that your funds prob won't stretch that far.

Rooney, Drogba and Tevez is seriously massive overkill and a colossal waste of money. Two of those strikers have got no real form at the moment yet cost well over a tenth of your budget each.

Linking your team would help too.

Slightly tempted by Kenwyne Jones but his fixtures after Blackpool don't look great. Stoke tend to struggle away from home.

Rooney could get a brace against Arsenal but then it's Chelsea and with the form they're in Ancelotti will set them up cagey. He's a tricky one to judge is Mr Rooney.

Hahaha, nah don't get me wrong i think Gabby's complete sh1te but I see the WBA game being 2-1 maybe even 3-2 since both teams are leaking goals badly. I'd imagine Ashley Young & Agbonlahor would be the most likely benefactors if that's the case.

Saha and Bent were unbelievably good for me last year, so I keep looking out for Saha hitting his stride but he looks a million miles away. My brother and mini league rival has Cahill so sneaking an Everton striker in would be dastardly but strikers are a minefield at Goodison.

      Evening all.
Is it worth a 4 point hit to bring in Torres for Gyan. Either that or play subs of Jara, P Jones or Dunn. Thinking yes given Liverpool's fixtures and Gyans potential rotation threat but.......

It comes down to whether you think the Newcastle - Liverpool game will be a goal fest. Personally, I'd take a punt at playing Kyrg over Carroll but I don't suppose many would - Carroll is uber consistent.

You just know that a couple of those midfielders are going to score just 2 points. I don't fancy calling it though!

      foster (krul)
      coleman, jones, cashley, konchesky (enrique)
      jarvis, nasri, bale, MGP, (park)
      drogba, carroll (tevez)

Considering park -> silva and drogba -> torres and going 4-5-1. My thinking is that Silva is due and may step out of Tevez’s shadow this week against west ham, drogs is in pretty poor form while Torres has great fixtures coming starting against a ‘Pardew inspired’ Newcastle.. I also fancy a pool cleansheet so think Carroll drops to the bench..

Funny one about the Kyrgiakos/Carrol debate. If Carrol wins the battle on the day he'll likely get bonus and the greek feck will likely find himself booked... If Kyrgiakos wins then he could well get bonus so should be interesting.
Not sure how well Torres will do this week.. he's been unpredictable and doesn't have the best Away record, t'would be a sound investment with Pool having 3 tasty home games in their next 5 though. As much as I hate the term, Drogba is "fixture proof" so his tough games wouldnt worry me but his languishing form would.

it is a worry but i just think that with his fixtures to come in might be worth taking a chance on him catching fire this weekend. I'm undecided tbh, 2 freebies is looking quite tempting plus i'm not convinced i should get rid of Drogba

I hope he does something here. I switched Drogba to him a in GW13 ago and he has been very frustrating. Since then he has got 8 points compared to Drogba's twelve. Last week was very annoying. Will be changing to Tevez/Rooney if still nothing this week.

Yeah they are good fixtures, but his form is worse than Drogba's. Tevez's fixtures are comparable and he is also cheaper and more likely to get BP.

Maybe i'm a bit overly annoyed about him missing last week. I brought him in with that game in mind. Would have given me a stonking score (compared to league rivals) if he had played and scored a brace.

It is stupid not to have both and it is even stupider to sell Torres next week if you already have him. Perhaps i gave you too much credit...

Anyway off to bed, nighty night

I've given up on the notion of Carroll ever getting 2 points... He seems more crucial to Newcastle than Purell at the gentlemens club.

Thanks guys - so maybe Drogba -> Torres and Foster -> Hart (to get on the city clean sheet bandwagon) could be better than Silva.. play Torres and Carroll up front and hope for a score draw 🙂

Just been tweeted the revised FA Cup 3rd round draw - not sure is it accurate though it could be a mistake as I cant find it anywhere else and the link wont post.
If it IS accurate then key ties include Man Utd v Liverpool and Arsenal v Leeds - it could be last years or something though, will see can I get confirmation from another source.

Tough match for your lads - QPR! You're at home though so that might lessen the bananaskin potential, we ALWAYS seem to end up playing Stevenage.

Yeah interesting draw, i felt sure we'd get Villa for the umpteenth time. I think we played them 6 times last season or something ridiculous like that

Alright, after falling from second in my league to last, I've decided to plan a new strategy for the holiday wild card.

I am going to put the fantasy back in fantasy football. That's right, only the most attractive players are allowed in. Though they may not win in a conventional sense, their devilish good looks trump all.

      Here is my draft:
      Fabianski Robinson
      Enrique GJohnson Evra Kolarov Tamas
      Nani Arteta AYoung Parker Malouda
      Carroll KDavies Torres

Aroused? I'll keep it competitive, the only rule is that my girlfriend has to approve any additions.

Fabianksi looks like Gizmo from the gremlins movie.

Andy Carroll is an abusive rapist with pony tail to prove it.

And if you and your lady get hot over Nani, please click below:

Actually, it would be interesting to see who holds the record for most posters on the walls of teenage girl bedrooms: Nani or Micheal Jackson in his prime?
Whoever it is, there are more than we could count in one lifetime.

      A. Drogba to Torres

I have Malouda for Chelsea coverage in case they bounce back. Just afraid Drogba will "come good" this week, tired of waiting though!
