  I'm not at all keen on short period players ( not less than four weeks as a guide. Anything else that goes wrong, suspension,injury or just dropped can leave you stuck with crap fixtures or points hits.

Aaaargh. I really don’t have a captain choice this week! Not that it matters as they only ever score 4 anyways hahah! Does anyone think it’d be worth doing tevez to torres which would be a 4 point hit, also giving me some1 to captain, then next week I could do either torres to tevez or elmander/bent to tevez. Alternativly I could get ballotelli to captain this week instead of torres. Hmmmmmm I dunno what to do?!?

  Deap breath sit aaannd Relax. You've taken substantial points hits for eight of the last ten weeks. Your team is not bad but clearly not improving for all the shuffling. You may need to sit quietly and view the next six game weeks, pick the teams you think have the best run, the best players in them and balance some with your's over a few weeks. As the Hitchhikers guide says, DON'T PANIC!

    Thanks Flynn, that's probably the most indepth response iv ever gotten on here! I'm not really panicing tho, I just take gambles on hits way to much, and they NEVER pay off. I think I'm just spoilt and want everything. It's so much fun doing transfers haha. But after your bit of insight I'm gonna leave it alone, I think my team is probably good for the next 3 game weeks. After this 1 of course. And I'm gonna actually save my free next week! Watch this space!

    To buy, they are all good, I would buy Samba/Huth/Bardsley/Kyriakos in that order, Kyriakos I am not convinced will play 80% of the time with Agger (if some gossip on here can be believed (Applebonkers)) maybe coming back

Looking to get rid of Figueroa this week.

Should I even contemplate doing Drogba for Torres as well? Leaves me no Chelsea cover.
Also, is Vidic a must? I plan to bring back VDV for Bale next week assuming Cahill hasn't yet left for Asia, would have to downgrade Vidic.
Lastly, is Schwarzer headed for that tourney as well? Stockdale would no longer be rotting on my bench...

  Both Kyrgiakos and Samba seem to be great transfers this GW. I went for Kyrgiakos last week.
  
  Drogs to Torres - I have the same dillema (and the same strikers as you). I decided to keep Drogba for this GW - if he doesn't score, I will transfer him for Roo/Torres/Berba and remain with no CFC cover.
  
  Vidic can be easily downgraded to Rafael. Then Bale->VdV looks fine.
  
  Schwarzer goes to Asia as well.

I have my entire bench out (VDV, Tevez, Kolorov).

I heard a rumour that they were going to pull out some teeth on Fabs as a part of his treatment for his hamstring problems, sounded very weird to me but they mentioned it on a swedish radio show and claimed it was true.
Have anybody else heard this and maybe also could explain why?

      Stick it out, if you are short on players it is always a good excuse to remove one of them and bring in someone you are maybe looking at long term, if not, and there is no one you want to replace, which in your team you don't, I would stick and have a nice little team for next week

      Tough choice - Gyan to Torres is an option with the Liverpool fixtures, but then he'll come up against Simpson if VDV doesn't make it, whereas currently you can hope for a 0-0.
      
      As it is for a 4pt penalty then maybe stay as you are as VDV has often played when he's been doubtful and Tottenham v Chelsea is the exact sort of game where Harry may just throw him in. He could even come on from the bench, which is something gained.
      
      Hope one from two (or both) play and put Simpson as first Sub.

for this upcomming gw I am dealing with 2 dilemas:

1 keeper to stand - Robo (away with Bolton - I have Elmander who I hope to make some points ): or Fabianski (away with MunU) ... so hard for ME...:(

and tempting to throw out Gyan (moreover when he is doubt now) so who to take:
Rooon / Torres / Ballotelli (have Tevez and Elmander)

have one freebie and 12,8 in the bank

Any help would be REALLY apreciated 😉

      FuzzyWarbles, I've bitten my tongue too long and feel I must leap to your gravatar defence. Clockwork Orange is one of my favourite books and I love the film, especially the 70s classical soundtrack. To have McDowell as your gravatar is a fine move. Keep the lad in I say.

  I'd probably leave it then.. If you get rid of one of Gyan/VDV then you'll probably just transfer him back in a couple of weeks time, using up two transfers and possibly 8 points in the process. The same is true with Tevez and Kolarov...

i know everyone's on the samba bandwagon but between samba(5.1), nelsen(4.9) and jones(4.5), which blackburn defender is the best buy from a fantasy points-scoring perspective assuming i can afford samba? i dunno but for some reason my gut instinct seems to be screaming out to buy nelsen. he's just as prolific as samba in the goal/assist department although jones is quite a bonus point magnet plus he's the cheapest...

all thoughts welcome.

had to actually feign working for a while. Thanks for the support lads. Kubrick is my favorite director, Clockwork Orange is a masterpiece, still holds up brilliantly. Ive been using FuzzyWarbles as a handle for alot of things, like Twitter, though I rarely use it. And I felt the gravatar should fit the name.
Now the film was banned in the UK, unjustifiably so in my humble opinion, so I guess thats where some of the angst comes from, but there are countless examples of great works of art in film, literature and such that were banned but praised generations later. Some people just dont get it, which is fine, Im not an elitist snob, but I do feel art needs to be protected and I get defensive when someone wants to censor these things. Just my view on it. take it or leave it.

There is no point asking anyone on this site Mr X or Mr Y or Mr Z to play or to buy or to leave on the sub bench or to captain. The truth is any player can be the star of the week and any player can be the no-mark of the week. The only useful things said on here is when somebody gives a choice they are making and actually provides a good theory as to why that is a good choice for the week. Most of the theories are also non starters, fixtures being the usual theory but this season that is not so cut and dry.
