Three Premier League games are served up today, before the heavyweight clash tomorrow night at Old Trafford. We start with two games (both kicking-off at 1.30pm), one at Molineux as Wolves face Birmingham City in a Midlands derby, and the other at the Reebok where the Wanderers will be looking to make it a great sporting weekend for the town of Bolton, as they take on Blackburn Rovers in-front of the Sky cameras.

The team sheets are in from both fixtures, and here is the team news…

Bolton line-up exactly as predicted, with the potent strike-force of Kevin Davies and Johan Elmander heading a 4-4-2. For the visitors, there is just one significant name on the team sheet, or rather omitted from it, as Martin Olsson starts instead of David Dunn, who sits on the bench.

Bolton XI: Jaaskelainen, Ricketts, Cahill, Knight, Robinson, Lee, Mark Davies, Holden, Petrov, Elmander, Kevin Davies

Blackburn XI: Robinson, Salgado, Samba, Nelsen, Givet, Olsson, Emerton, Jones, Pedersen, El-Hadji Diouf, Roberts

As for the derby, and neither Kevin Doyle nor Matt Jarvis shook off injuries to feature in any capacity today. Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Stephen Hunt come in. Liam Ridgewell and Craig Gardner don’t make the Birmingham starting line-up, with only the latter on the bench. Nikola Zigic and David Murphy get the nod.

Wolves XI: Hennessey, Zubar, Berra, Stearman, Elokobi, Foley, Edwards, Milijas, Ward, Hunt, Ebanks-Blake

Birmingham XI: Foster, Carr, Johnson, Dann, Murphy, Larsson, Bowyer, Ferguson, Fahey, Jerome, Zigic

Then it’s down to the capital where a buoyant Spurs play the faltering champions Chelsea at 4pm. The visitors will be desperate to reach the league summit once more, and the hosts will be eager to close the gap to fourth after tasting, and liking, Champions League football.

To keep track of and to join in the discussion of all the day’s action, head to our chatroom which is available right here.

    IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!
Waaah why did I listen to this site and pick Cahill and Bale, why oh why when I am a managerial genius that is also strangely easily influenced by internet forums did I pick those two utterly shit players?! Its clearly someone elses fault other than mine. It's probably your fault - yes you, you bastard. You with your smart gravatar and catchy name - nailed on you said, captain material. Well captain my arse.

Bet there have been a few posts like that today eh? 🙂 So how's everyone done? Pretty shonky myself but Nani (c) gives that tiny shred of hope that it wont be another absolutely dreadful week. Been dragged around various shops by She That Must Be Obeyed so missed all the games, just seen that Drogba missed a penny, did he spoon it or was it a good save? Any injuries or scandal to worry about?

Oh and the pen was poor. Perfect height for the goal keeper and not far from the centre of the goal. Exactly where you don't want to place a penalty.

i reckon lampard being back had a little impact in the back of his mind. even though drogba took it he was still aware that he was effectively taking it off lampard. this will sound odd but i genuinely think if lampard never came on drogba would have scored that pen. psychology is a massive part of penalties

it's like lampard started missing them last season as soon as he gave drogba a penalty. until then lampard only had the normal pressure of taking a penalty on him. as soon as he knew drogba was desperate to take them he then had the normal penalty pressure + the pressure of needing to score to justify taking it ahead of drogba

        OUCH!
Good grief Gargs that is a painful one, commiserations. I ballsed up a bit myself so wholly reliant on Nasri and Nani (c) to score a hattrick each and hoping that Chamakh, Rooney, Berbatov all get sent off. Or score own goals.

lol foley matched drogba, elmander and dunn score.

Suprised i not only mnage to keep him but also play him in all the home matches. I guess dropping craddock last season before he went on his good run was at the back of my mind.

Pity zubar has come in, he seems to taking up the forward postiton from what i hear.

Well I was umming and awwing all week about what to do with Milner, I had a choice of three to bring in Bale, Cahill and Yaya Toure so I went with the most logical - Cahill. Again then there was injury concerns over Barton and I couldnt find a single source predicting him to start on any of the Newcastle sites so I thought he was too risky a biscuit and brought in the second most logical of the three - Bale.
Drat and damn! My own decisions based on fixtures, both bad 'uns but its that kinda season. Bah to it. 🙂

theyre annoying alright, big time. it reallys is the pits when you transfer someone out and they get points.

i think its definitely the worst , most annoying thing in this game. It beats all other annoyandce hands down.

I captained Drogba and if he had of scored the pen he surely would have got 12 points 24 as {C} , 2 goals 8 points 1 point for playin and surely 3 point bonus if he had won the game but instead he missed the peno{-2} and then got booked{-1} and will probably get no bonus know , I have had a terrible week and if he had scored the penalty it would have salvaged my week but what could have so easily been 24 is now just 4

Db Db Db. You really are tiresome. Everyone loves football from around the world, you trying to twist this argument into something else is just embarrassing. In the premier league, you supposedly support a team. You don't, that was proven today. What's most annoying about you is not the idiocy of some of your comments, it's the fact you absolutely flatly refuse to admit you are wrong about anything, even when there are numerous people giving you hard facts to the contrary. You just post and post and post while trying to change the point. The original point was this: You prefer your FPL team to succeed OVER Utd when you claimed to be a fan. This isn't shameful, you are entitled to your opinion, it's the fact that you continue to say that isn't the case that's embarrassing.

i hate united fans who arent from the north west and dont go to the games.

im a bolton fan and going to united v arsenal tomorrow.

i reckon ive been to more united games in the last few years than most of the united fans on here put together.

Akers sounds like hes from yorkshire for instance.

LOL! If you mean I generalised United supporters by saying they should all have wanted Chelsea to drop 2 points today, then yes I did generalise them. But I was 100% correct. It's kind of the definition of being a United supporter.

I read of a female psychology student in New York who got a lodger for a psychology experiment. She was a real awkward twatt all the time just to study his reactions. He eventually snapped and smnashed her head in with a hammer. True story. So DB you have been warned.

Oh I've given up on him after the world cup thing, he can be a sensible enough rational being, but most of the time he just resorts to this supercilious tone which is intensely aggravating, massive passive-aggression tactics and simply gets people to do what he wants - pay him attention. And the attempts to portray himself as a true polymath is immature beyond words.
Dbronaldo and Gillian McKeith are doing no favours for the nutritionist profession.

You know it's really not that simple AB, the league is all about who scores the most points and every week is a competition to outscore the other.
Personally I have nothing against Chelsea the club, and don't really care if they win their cup games unless they face United.

"He is certainly not claiming to have played his last game for the club, and reports to the contrary have been rubbished by the Tevez camp, although clearly there are a huge number of issues that need to be addressed before the South American next pulls on the blue shirt, as he would be due to, either against Juventus on Thursday, or Everton four days later."

2 from Malouda, 2 from Drogba, 2 from Elmander and 4 from Foster in most people's teams?

I had Drogba, Malouda and K Davies playing in my starting XI today with Carr coming on from the bench tomorrow.

Drogba played who has 34% ownership, A Cole has 33%, Bale has 56%, Elmander has 25%, Ridgewell has 19% and Foley has 14%

so they might not have scored much, but it all adds up

The Highs and Lows of FPL..

So here's how the story goes..

This week i decided to captian Drogba.. Team news not great as he was benched so there's me thinking great 2 bloody point's for a 5 minute cameo performance.. But then there was hope as at half time he was brought on to inspire a lacklustre Chelsea side with no cutting edge and he duely obliged with a goal.. Things looking up, now sitting on 10 points.. the game ebbs to and fro from end to end and I am hoping that he might sneak another goal when suddenly Chelsea get a penalty, I am turning the air blue at this point because Chelsea's regular pen taker is now on the pitch but wayhee the Drog places the ball on the spot and I am already counting the points.. 18 points from my captain.. What an inspired choice and surely 3 BPs to come giving a grand total of 24... But nooooo.. The stupid fookwit steps up and misses it and to rub salt into the wound he then goes and gets booked.. From a possible 24 to a total of 4 points in the space of a few seconds and my FPL week layed in ruins.. Oh well there is always next week..

Because his name is Amir Khan?
Incidentally do you know that EVERYONE with the surname Kahn is a descendant of Ghengis? He has potentially the biggest number of quantifiable descendants in recorded history. Busy man.
