Liverpool’s home clash with Fulham has been postponed.
Again, like the Wigan fixture, the playing surface was not the cause of the postponement – it’s conditions around the ground that have done for this game.
Liverpool have just offered this statement…
“The safety of all fans attending the game is paramount and although the Anfield pitch is playable, the conditions around the stadium and further afield for people travelling to the match are such that the decision was taken, following Police advice on safety grounds, to postpone the game.“
This will be another major blow for Fantasy Managers – particularly those who had made moves to seal members of Roy Hodgson’s back four or back the potential for Fernando Torres in, what looked like an attractive home fixture. We’re in for a chaotic Gameweek.
