Man City have confirmed that the Eastlands clash with Everton will go ahead this evening, barring any late downturn in weather conditions.

Although temperatures had dropped to -15C in the area last night, City have stressed that the pitch is in “perfect condition” and that they are not expecting a pitch inspection prior to kick-off.
Good news for some Fantasy Managers who invested in the likes of Aleksandar Kolarov and Carlos Tevez prior to a Gameweek that has so far seen just two games played.

Tevez is set to start for City tonight but it is widely expected that he will relinquish the captaincy, with Kolo Toure restored as club skipper. Roberto Mancini’s decision is yet to be confirmed but, from his statement over the weekend, the City boss made it clear that Tevez will play a part tonight and that he is expecting the usual level of performance from the Argentine…

“Carlos is a football player and he loves football. He plays like he did when he was young, in the garden. Every day, whether in training or in an important match, he always plays the same way.”

Significant returns for Tevez tonight would change the entire complexion of the Gameweek, particularly for those who took the risk on handing the striker their Fantasy Premier League armband. Tevez could prove a major differential in what would be a key Gameweek in the Fantasy season for all the wrong reasons.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

if they are saying the air is clear, he'll probably keep the captaincy then

As long as you check out FFS before commiting, it shouldn't be a problem, as long as there's verification.

Lucked out with Tevez captain i feel. It feels like it's already written for him to have a blinder this gameweek, now confirmation he is staying?! It has to happen. I'm glad he has decided to stay in the PL anyway, would be a shame to lose him, great to watch.

    Come on captain Carlos!

I have him as captain but now after the all the hope from everyone on here I think he'll do nothing tonight.

Going to be a very tough game for City, Everton always do well at Eastlands. I think they've kept 3 clean sheets in their last 3 games there, I reckon 1-1 tonight. Maybe if it was against someone like Wigan or West Ham yes but I definitely wouldn't put money on City or Tevez tonight.

I just want City to concede, i'll be happy with that. Anything from Tevez is a bonus.

Around this time last year, when fixtures were in doubt and being cancelled, Man City had a monday night fixture. The game went ahead

Very simalair to this weekend. Tevez went on to score 16 points.

Just something to get you in the mood

People are getting way too carried away with the fact Tevez has committed to City. They are playing Everton tonight, not Wigan, do you seriously think he's going to score a hatrick? I don't.

Yeah, obviously he has a very good chance of scoring. But I've seen many posts saying Tevez for hatrick and it's going to be just like last year.
