We’ve managed to eek out one final fixture in this heavily truncated gameweek as Manchester City play host to Everton. Carlos Tevez has withdrawn his transfer request, could my prophecy of Friday morning ring true? Chance would be a fine thing.

City then, unsurprisingly, recall their captain and Aleksander Kolarov to the line-up follow suspension (and a hefty portion of drama), while James Milner replaces Nigel De Jong who himself is suspended. David Moyes meanwhile makes two changes as Leon Osman returns from injury to deputise for Stephen Pienaar who picked up a niggle in the week, while also giving another face a chance to shine up front with Victor Anichebe forcing Saha, Yakubu and Beckford to the bench after weeks of paltry returns. Teams in full are..

City XI: Hart; Zabaleta, Toure, Kompany, Kolarov; Milner, Toure Yaya, Barry; Silva, Tevez, Balotelli.

Everton XI: Howard; Neville, Jagielka, Distin, Baines; Coleman, Rodwell, Fellaini, Osman, Cahill; Anichebe.

        Tevez is a great fantasy player. He's a good real-life player, but not that good. He scores loads at City because the system means he's likely to get a high proportion of their goals.

        Last season they had Bellamy to provide, now it's Silva, Milner (!), Johnson - all players who assist a lot more than they score.

        He was pretty good at Utd, we loved him cos of his attitue, but not great.

        He's playing as a lone forward for one of the best teams in the league, and taking penalties. He's bound to score a fair few goals. And he's one hell of a lucky bugger!

    If Man C are just gonna shoot from 25 yards each time, it should be pretty easy for Everton to keep their clean sheet. They're getting men in the area and Man C don't look like they've got the nous to create any clear chances.

    I've never seen Kolarov take a freekick like that. Usually it's all power and no precision. Looks promising, hopefully he'll get a goal. Mancini probably showed him some tricks. 🙂

              Form with the highest number
              Value with the highest number.

    That 2-0 was a real quality goal.

    Bit disappointed that Tevez so often ends up with the ball outside the Everton penalty area with other City players inside it. Is that normal? Have not watched City that much this season to be honest.

      Ya it is, he floats around to be honest, he gets in there when it really matters though. Balotelli does appear to be playing slightly more forward, Milner is clearly DM aswell, YaYa has been quite far forward and was unlucky not to have an assist already.
