You may remember that last week we previewed a new Fantasy Game proposition – the “Next-Gen” contender that is Player Manager. The weekend’s postponements scuppered our plans to get a full hands-on with the game, so that’s been shelved until next week when we’ve had more time with the game.

In the meantime, the Scout team will be playing over Christmas and we’ve decided to introduce an informal Scout League setup for those interested in joining us.

If you’d like to join the Player Manager Scout League then just email scout@playermanager.com with the subject “IN”. Please use the email address you used to register your Player Manager account so the guys at PM can locate you on their system.

The League will run for four Gameweeks (19-22) and, on this occasion, we’re just playing for kudos (no digital camera), but in future we may set up something more formal with prize money on offer.

Advice needed please!

I’ve got 2 free transfers left.. not sure which transfers to make even though I’ve got loads of cash in the bank! Suggestions?

  i'd think about upgrading Elmander myself. Torres got to be worth a punt given L'pools fixtures. Or how about Rooney? Maybe not worth doing this week but worth keeping enough cash back for next week?

  dont transfer in neslen, you'll get 1 game out of him then want to transfer him out and i wouldnt suggest transfering players from the same team, you could transfer in cashley ready for next week and roll over your other transfer, keep the roll over as you'll have to get rid of cahill, maybe suggest malouda after this gameweek if he does well aggainst arsenal

      hmmm i really want proof that chealsa will start getting results before i draft in any on their players. i got rid of malouda, drogba and bosingwa some time ago and it was a fantastic move.
      
      i think i'll have to get rid of carr either way, otherwise i'll lose one of my free transfers.

In the meantime, any advice on this team? Thinking Lennon is a weak link, but would want to change to VdV and not sure if he'll get much game time over Xmas period

Vidic - expensive but bagging alot of points
Rafael - Rotation risk? Not the cheapest
Ferdinand - Not much of a goal threat compared to Vidic?

was planning on doing Vidic > Rafael and Etherington > Van der Vaart

  What is Sagna doing there? I would do only one transfer getting rid of Sagna. If u must do the second for DVD, or wait one GW, he could go and injury himself again, pretty easily.

Merry Christmas everybody. Right time for the doubles. Bring them on!!!

My plan is this. I have 2 freebies and maybe unbelievable, but this GW transfer will be for my second goalkeeper. I am gonna sell Hann and bring Stockdale. He will play instead of Schwarzi, has some nice GW's upcoming and rotates perfect with Foster. Not sure that I am gonna bench Foster, but he has double upcoming. I am gonna try and build my team in order to be prepared for the doubles in GW 24 without wild card. After GW 24 we have a lot of teams having doubles for GW27 and GW 28, then the second wild card will be on and completely reshuffle of the team.

What are the other lads thinking, what is their plan?

Sorry for the long post but the plan is:
I already have two Man UTd players and I will add Adam, but wary of this double, cause it could be the fake one, like Arsenal last one, when I had Arshavin captain with 2 points (don't remind me please.)
Fulham represented, with a back up keeper, Konchesky and Fernando upfront. I don't see other bets, will see how Rooney is performing.

That were my thoughts and bring on the Stockdale transfer! 😉

I can't believe that this is happening, I have 2 freebies and will use only one for the back up keeper OMG.

      We only reached the first round of the knockout stage last time. It's because Aus wasn't used to every single player diving as soon as you touch them. Oman did it every single time.
      
      I'll keep an eye on Australian players at the Asian cup for you guys. I'll be watching every game anyway.

Chelsea vs Man United rescheduled for March 1. I've had a quick look over the fixtures and Man United will only have 2 home games out of 6 from GW 24 and GW 28. Chelsea have 3 out of 6 at home.

    im not for the idea of nani captain, even tho sunderland have defensive issues they always seem to play well at home, or against the big teams, i think with MGP bonus points against WHU i think if blackburn win and he gets a goal or assist hes also geting bonus points too

  blackpool have a fine hanging over them if this game doesnt get played..... Ian Holloway said on sky sports news that the spurs game would have gone ahead and the pitch was fine.... the problem was the weather in London and spurs fans travelling.... Liverpool fans dont have to travel far so Ive got a feeling it will go ahead.... dont know why people are saying its not going ahead
