Just a quick message from myself and the team to wish you, our visitors a very Merry Christmas.

We hope you’re enjoying the festivities, without taking your eye off the ball with the Boxing Day deadline close and our players training in the snow today.

We also hope that Members are enjoying the Beta site and have had fun tinkering with the new toys. Mmmm…Zoltan Gera – 2.4 goal attempts per game over the last six Gameweeks, that’s more than Tim Cahill on 2.2 per game. Interesting eh?

Perhaps perusing Fantasy stats on Christmas day is going a bit far. We all need a day off now and again and, inevitably, our service over Christmas will be affected by family, friends and hangovers. We will do all we can to stick by you though, and provide you what you need to steer your Fantasy lineups through this most hectic spell. Look out for a couple of Christmas day articles from Andy and Big Dunc to come.

    I was wondering if someone could help me out here. My backline is currently:

    Konchesky Coleman Toure Dann Cole A

    I have 2 free transfers and 4.2 in the bank this week, I want to sort out my defence- here's what I'm thinking:

    Cole -> Rafael
    Toure -> Kolarov

    So my new backline would be

    Konchesky Coleman Rafael Dann Kolarov

    I like how attacking it looks, with some good clean sheet chances as well. I'm slightly worried that some of these players mightn't be regular starters. Thoughts/suggestions?

      Id avoid putting in kolarov personally as city dont have a double gameweek coming up. You might aswell put in a player who does i reckon. Raphael is likely to be rotated too

              keep cashley, he has good fixtures after this gameweek. toure to kolarov is a good transfer, but toure to rafael would be better. rafael is just as prone to rotation as any other player due to the frequent run of upcoming games. so toure>rafael imo

                  Id just wait because sunderland play man utd and id expect them to concede. Also this is just my gut feeling so dont put any real confidence in this but i really dont think sunderland will keep up their good form much longer

          Im keeping him and if he isnt fit my auto sub is Givet.

          His price has decreased anyway so Im gonna wait for another week to see what happens.

          Im definitely replacing him after this week though. Just dont know for who, Kolarov or Koncheskey(DGW)

    It appears that many people think Kyrgiakos is going to lose his spot in the main XI. I am probably willing to give him this w/e to see what the status is. But if he is really on the outer who would be a decent substitute? Already have City, ManU, Everton cover - so maybe Sunderland player?

                It looks like you've had Drogba from the start Spoiler (nice rank btw). You have kept the faith - I offloaded him about 6-7 weeks ago. Although I made the mistake of keeping Fabregas instead of getting Cahill.

    Who the hell do I bench this week guys? help needed!

    So far I'm running with:

    Hart
    Rafael Coleman Kelly (liv)
    Nani VDV Cahill Pedersen
    Rooney Elmander Carroll

    bench: Migs, Nasri (!?), Clark (AV), Taylor (New)

    I doubt Kelly will start, but after last game I'm not so sure. Nasri is at home but against a Chelsea team needing a win and if they lose they are in freefall... can't see that. Nearly my whole team is at home, team worth 100.0 and I stll have the luxury of 7.7 in the bank for the WC in Jan. Looking to:

    Hart>Gordon
    Migs>Stockdale
    Elmander>Drogba / Torres
    Cahill>Malouda / Gerrard
    Kelly>Kolarov
    Clark> Elmo (poss)

    still leaving enough for Pedersen> Malouda / Gerrard if form suits.

    With so many underperforming 'stars' and so many resurgents I'm finding it hard to justify spending big. LIV have good fixtures coming up, but Charlie Adam is looking ripe too...

    Is general thinking to Nasri>Fabs or Fabs too risky now with Nas on form?
