It’s breathless stuff this Christmas fixture list. The games keep coming thick and fast and it’s getting difficult to clear the head of the all the variables and avoid making a Fantasy faux pas or two.

Rest and rotation are the big concern now, plus of course those little knocks and niggles that go unreported until the teamsheets arrive. A strong bench comes in handy and some last minute advice on how to juggle resources never goes amiss. We’ve opened our Matchday Surgery chatroom so you can soak some up in real-time prior to that 11.30 deadline.

The room will close just after 12pm with Dugout Discussion on the first 3pm kick-off to follow.

      I'll probably get shouted down for this but I'm benching Carroll this week - may probably regret the decision but with the talk of a possible ankle injury, think it could be the week to do it - the others you have have strong fixtures...

      I really can't see MGP being anywhere near consistent enough to be a decent fantasy player.

      That's my roundabout way of saying I think he's been lucky to get as many points as he has.

        He's basically playing DM for one of the lowest scoring sides in the league.

          Yeah, MGP is definitely out, just not sure whether Nasri is the right guy. Might hold him until the wildcard, then see if Fabregas is the better option.

          Will probably fund it with Baines>Bardsley, which gives me an entire squad I wouldn't mind playing this week. Headache.

            Maybe not. But you could understand the logic behind the Boselli bandwagon... Wigan had a couple of decent early fixtures (namely Blackpool at home first up), Boselli was the lone forward taking penalties and scoring well in pre-season.

            MGP never really made any sense to me.

              He's scored well though, and for the short run of fixtures Bburn had, he was a good bet. Set pieces etc for a team with Samba and Nelsen, with those kind of fixtures, was a good bet. Sure, Samab through a spanner in the works but MGP's done well so far. Bonus too; he's been playing very well.

      I would go for Torres if you want someone for 4-5 weeks. It depends when you plan on using your wildcard though. Bent isn't a bad bet for the next couple of weeks

        I was considering that.. but Torres has all these fixtures including the 2 doublers up until 25. I would only fancy drog for the next two/three max.

        I was all set on VDV for Nasri and Torres for Elmander until fabs booking. Also woke up this morning thinking of carlos. Probably with the NY day game in mind!!

        And to answer your question.. Torres imo

    Ok Nani benched at the moment, am I mad? Hoping for Carrol not to make it and Nani to come from the bench, but after flu and hip injury and against 5 mids at Bir i don't see to much potential.
