Itโ€™s breathless stuff this Christmas fixture list. The games keep coming thick and fast and itโ€™s getting difficult to clear the head of the all the variables and avoid making a Fantasy faux pas or two.

Rest and rotation are the big concern now, plus of course those little knocks and niggles that go unreported until the teamsheets arrive. A strong bench comes in handy and some last minute advice on how to juggle resources never goes amiss. Weโ€™ve opened our Matchday Surgery chatroom so you can soak some up in real-time prior to that 11.30 deadline.

The room will close just after 12pm with Dugout Discussion on the first 3pm kick-off to follow.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

tevez will ofcourse come on, else why would he be in subs. all we need for him to come on is a balotelli yellow, which is inevitable

I am a smug git right now not having Tevez. Mind you give it two hours and I will probably be very very not smug.

P.S. What is the opposite to smug?

Well if the definition of SMUG is George Clooney's Oscar acceptance speech then the definition of GUMS, the opposite of GUMS would surely be Carlo's interview last night.

He's going to start and he's going to score 5 and then go on to bowl out the Aussies (not difficult) and beat Phil Taylor at darts. All in a day's work for supernando!

tim lovejoy's predictions..would suit most of us. not sure he needs to mention the pressure mounting bit quite so often though...

Man City v Aston Villa, 15:00 - home win. 3+ goals. Pressure mounts on GH
Stoke v Fulham, 15:00 - home win. Pressure mounts on Sparky
Sunderland v Blackpool, 15:00 - home win, but Blackpool will score
Tottenham v Newcastle, 15:00 - home win. Pressure mounts on Alan Pardew
West Brom v Blackburn, 15:00 - home win. Pressure mounts on Steve Kean
West Ham v Everton, 17:30 - away win- pressure back on for Avram
Birmingham v Man Utd, 20:00 - away win.

The obsession is that he sees the sporting world in binary - good or bad. There is no such thing as average or mundane in Lovejoy's primary-coloured infant brain. It is this impatient consumerism on which Sky relies.
