Andy Carroll looks a major doubt for the trip to Wigan. The home side will be without the suspended Charles N’Zogbia, while Antolin Alcaraz is rated 50:50. Nani’s hip continues to cause problems with Alex Ferguson hinting that he could keep him out of the trip to the Hawthorns. The West Brom defence lying in wait is ravaged by injury, with Roberto Di Matteo looking set to turn to recent loanee Gianni Zuiverloon to plug the gaps left by injury and suspension.

Things aren’t improving for Roy Hodgson as the Liverpool boss sweats on Joe Cole’s fitness and suggests that Steven Gerrard is fatigued following his recent spell on the sidelines. Carlos Tevez is expected to return for City as they prepare for Blackpool’s visit to Eastlands; Mancini looks set to rotate again however as he prepares for the midweek crunch with Arsenal at the Emirates. Arsene Wenger may also shuffle his assets again as he recalls the likes of Robin Van Persie, Alex Song and Cesc Fabregas to his squad for the testing trip to St Andrews.

      Both Blackpool and Man City have better records away from home, so logic should dictate that it won't be an home banker at Middle-Eastlands.

      However, applying logic to this season just doesn't work.

    Play Adam or Brunt?

    Leaning towards Adam for 3 reasons.

    1. He has had his rest, while Brunt has been having troubles with his groin (sat out last game though)
    2. Blackpool always have a go for it....home or away does not seem to matter.
    3. I am a United fan 🙂

    With Carroll, N'Zogbia, Nani and Lee probably out and only 1 free transfer is it worth a points hit?

    I can do Lee out for Cleverley leaving me 2.2m in the bank but I don't want to replace Carroll or Nani, I wouldn't be able to get them back due to the price rises.

    That leaves me 7.7m to replace N'Zogbia but I'm not sure about Bale and don't think Adam is worth the points hit. Any recommendations?

    Infamy infamy, injuries and suspensions have all got it in for me. Nani, Huth, Welbeck and now Carrol. Williamson won't play. Can't afford another points hit, so looks like I'm starting with 10 men. As a Millwall supporter, I feel like I'm in that brilliant beach scene at the end of the film Warriors; the world is against me and my back is to the sea, but it feels like home!!

      I'm sitting here contemplating the same thing... it's a tough choice. My 'plan' was to make no transfers this gameweek thus removing the issue but with the rash of injuries and doubts I'm going to have to make at least one... think I'm going to chance it and leave it until tomorrow... might even have to use my mobile on the bus on the way home at 4am although that would probably mean I end up getting in Phill Neville while under the influence.

    FPL has Stevie G flagged doubtful due to fitness. Can anyone comment on this? 4 of my players are yellow flagged, maybe I should think about bringing in cover.

    How are we all doing this year in our Fantasy Football games? I currently sit around 28,000. Fairly average I'd say, expecting some big returns over January with my WildCard plan coming into place.

        Yeah but like 90% don't even touch their teams. As for that Chelsea fan, bit blunt isn't he not? Thought he'd be a bit happier now his team managed to squeeze back into the top 4.

              You must be new round these parts. AP and Jamsiep are madly in love with each other and try to hide their mutual attraction towards each other by bickering like little girls... constantly. We wouldn't have them any other way 🙂 Oh and one's a Chelsea fan and one a Man U fan but that pales into insignificance in the face of their undying passion.
