Gameweek Stats Updated For Members

The Gameweek OPTA statistics available to our Members have now been updated to include those from today’s games. Members can view Gameweek stats via the Beta Site available here.

A quick glance gives us an early indication of where the Fantasy Premier League Bonus points may well be heading. Apart from the obvious – Rooney, Torres, Kenwyne Jones, Freddie Sears and Bale – I’d wager that we might well see Luka Modric, Michael Dawson, Ryan Shawcross, Steed Malbranque, Dan Agger, Steven Gerrard, Matt Upson, Frederic Piquionne, and yes, despite his penalty miss (more on that in tonight’s Knee Jerk), Carlos Tevez, all amongst the Bonus when they are eventually rolled out.

Members can pop into the Beta site now and use the “Current Gameweek” dropdown, to see just why.

    I tell you what, its seriously lolworthy how upset people get over BPs, they'll probably realise half of em are errors and change them, then when your strongly worded emails and letters arrive sit there laughing at how sad some people are!

      I am writing an email about nasri bonus points stating his influence on the games e.g no of shots, no of key passes he made and goals etc.

      find it baffling no bps for nasri when he clearly was best player plus he was awarded MOTM by sky.

      I can safely say the Jenas 2bps are a pile of cr*p because he played for 8 minutes and hearing comments from people who watched the game said he did nothing.

      I didn't see the games but Tevez atleast played 90 minutes, might have missed a pen but could have contributed a lot more to Man City. I can't understand why Nasri didn't get any bonus points but the Tot - Ful game bps are a JOKE

        But he should not get BPs for having no end product! If you, as a striker miss all your shots you don't deserve BPs. If you have them blocked then the other teams defence deserve the BPs!

          If he was one of their best players and helped them win then why does he not deserve BPs? Shooting is hit and miss even with the best of players - sometimes everything you hit goes in and sometimes everything just misses. It makes more sense to judge a player by their overall contribution than it does to just reduce it down to whether they scored chances or not.

      Tevez's points can be explained. For example, read the article you're commenting on. He played well and besides missing the penalty created several chances and made several shots. Giving BPs to a forward who did not score and missed a penalty is strange, but at least there could be some explanation behind that.
