One door closes (The Saturday Surgery) and another doth open for you all (The Dugout Discussion).

It’s all relatively cosmetic but the main thing that can be done now is put up your feet, take in the day’s action and get over that grade III. hangover you picked up during last night’s celebrations. There’s nothing left to do but cross fingers and hope that the Wayne Rooney captaincy [insert your choice previous] you opted for at the last minute proves fruitful.

The Dugout Discussion is open through all of today’s games starting at The Hawthorns in under an hour as Manchester United pay visit to a West Brom side short of defensive options and closing in the same city as Arsenal have an away game against Alex McCleish’s men at St. Andrews…

In-between our Birmingham based bookends we will take in a grand total of six 3pm kick-offs as the New Year supports a rather chock-a-block schedule. Tottenham will host Fulham hoping to continue their charge towards the top four, Liverpool play host to Bolton hoping they can improve from frankly diabolical to middling and winning and Man City play host to Blackpool looking to knock the fresh-faced form travelers off their perch as they aim for the top of the table. A Key clash between West Ham and Wolves also stands out at the bottom of the table while Stoke vs. Everton and Sunderland vs. Blackburn round out the days fixtures.

As already alluded to, the Dugout Discussion will be open and with you right through all of the day up until the bonus judges do their worst as we close out the day.

It just shows how they aren't used to getting decisions against them. When it actually happens they throw their toys out of the pram.

Like in the Champions League when a foreign ref, unintimidated by Lord Fergie, sent off Rafael against Bayern, and there was uproar from Utd fans and players.

I mean look at when rooney dived in the united v arsenal game where united ended arsenal's 49 game unbeaten run. It was cheating but the ref had to give it because it was man utd

It was an awful decision. But it probably stops there... I don't think Foy's a biased cheat, just incompetent.

As in impartial observer, I don't think that anyone can argue against the fact that Foy made a massive mistake there.

The reasons for his mistake is because he's human. But humans are subject to emotions and pressure, so Neville gets off Scot free.

    (pun intentional)

You guys going about the birmingham goal but more often then not manu get blantant decions go there way, especially where giving penaltys and sending off is concerned.

That wigan match in 2008 where wigan should have got a penalty and scholes didnt get sent off comes to mind.

Luke_chadwick look at the rule book to see what actually DEFINES a foul you'll see that was a penalty v Arsenal.

Belief logic: A person believes x so strongly that all evidence against is ignored and all in favour is exaggerated.

There's no way that Arsenal team of the year before could have gone that long unbeaten.

      Really??? Really???

How can you say with a straight face that was a pen, Rooney took a dive, it was embarassing.

My point is utd always get the decisions, whether it's because refs are scared of ferguson or what, who knows
