A Gameweek under floodlights brings a midweek Fantasy Premier League deadline – not only that we’ve got the lure of double fixtures to consider. That all adds up to a supremely busy Tuesday evening around here, with plenty of Fantasy Managers wiping away the perspiration in search of some last minute inspiration.

We’ve opened up the Matchday Surgery chatroom nice and early for you to allow you time to settle in, find yourself a seat in the stand and try to fight off those last minute knee jerks.

          He got 2 for actually playing well. I don't think missing chances should automatically void you from getting bonus points. Shooting is hit and miss at the best of times - one day it goes an inch wide, one day it goes an inch inside the post.

              Even if the rest of his play actually won his team the game?

              The common perception of strikers - that they're idiots when they miss a few chances and geniuses when they score a few in a row - is just nonsense as far as I'm concerned. Nobody can control shots to within an inch and a lot of the time that's the difference between success and failure. Their overall contribution is far more important.

      When a player gets injured their price is protected for 10 days. The players price won't rise/fall in those 10 days but when the 10 days are up they can rise/fall. I think thats what happens.

          And the protection actually starts when the player returns from injury. i.e. when his red/yellow flag is removed on the FPL site.
