There are three exciting developments concerning our Members Area today. Firstly, and most significantly we’ve slashed the price of Membership for the rest of the season to just £10.

You can now sign up and get the full Members Ticker, the customisable and feature-filled Next Six Ticker plus of course access to our sortable tables of OPTA player and team performance statistics. All that for a tenner; plus there’s more to come with news of updated Player Projections for the FPL game…

The second piece of news however concerns the Opta stats. We are now out of Beta for Phase Two of the Members area which means that, in addition to cumulative stats over the season, you can now view statistics for players and teams by the Gameweek. Members can use filters to analyse performance over the current and last Gameweek and the last two, four and six Gameweeks. Using the Advanced Filters you can also set up your own ranges and choose to view averages by Games Played, rather than absolute data.

The final development, as promised, concerns the Player Projections – we’ve been working to update these in time for the Gameweek 22 Fantasy Premier League Wildcards and I’m please to say that these have now been updated.

What are Player Projections?
These are our predictions for all the vital FPL stats for every player in the game – predicted until the end of the season. Basically they allow you to view a predicted return for players and we’ve included a field that shows points gained from Gameweek 22 to the end of the season to cater for your Wildcard needs.

How were they put together?
We built these new Projections from scratch rather than work with the existing data. The sortable tables are based on FPL performance so far with modifiers applied for the difficulty of their remaining fixtures and their current form. We’ve also used the OPTA data to apply further modifiers based on the analysis of players performance that these stats allow.

How do I use the Projections?
Basically if you’re playing your Wildcard, these tables can be used to view a projected return for goals, assists, clean sheets, FPL Bonus and of course, FPL total points for all the top players. We’ve included sortable tables of the top 25 Keepers, 100 Defenders, 100 Midfielders and 50 Strikers.

Will they be updated?
These projections have been built specifically with the Gameweek 22 Wildcard in mind. They won’t be updated each week but may well get a refresh later in the season, prior to the final run-in. We will keep you posted on that.

There are doubtless some minor bugs to fix in the data but I thought it would be great to roll these out to Members now, prior to the Gameweek 23 deadline. The tables will be tweaked over the next few days then I’m sure.

So, all this is now available to Members, while Non-Members can now sign up to get access for just £10 via Paypal or via a cheque or Postal Order to the address below:

Fantasy Football Scout Payment Centre

Cheques should be made payable to “Fantasy Football Scout Ltd”.

Please be sure to register a “Free” account first and include your username and the email address you used to sign up with with your payment.

    Defender Picks For Wildcard.

    Sunderland - Bramble

Everyone seems to favor Bardsley or Elmo for their Sunderland coverage, but Bramble is probably the best deal. At 4.4 and with a 3.2% ownership, he's not only a differential, but a guaranteed starter and has a decent record of picking up bonus points.

    Fulham - Pantsil, Baird

People seem to like Aaron Hughes, but he's quite easily the worst pick out of the Fulham defense. The second most expensive and with only 2 bonus points so far this season, he offers nothing but the 90 minutes out of the Fulham defense. Pantsil on the other hand has 5 bonus points so far, and has attacking potential as a right back. Chris Baird is also not a bad shout if you think he can continue to rifle in free kicks like he did against Stoke.

    Blackpool - Eardley

Evatt may have scored the highest over the double GW in 22, but he's also 0.3 more expensive. Is a Blackpool defender really worth 0.3 over a fellow teammate? I think not especially since Adam hogs all the bonus points. Eardley at 4.0 puts in a few crosses every game, and he scored a decent freekick a few weeks back against Everton. A decent alternative if you're looking to save some cash.

Some people seem to want Sunderland, and to be honest, at 4.4, Bramble could be useful.

On paper not tough games for Utd. Which would suggest a 442 formation, both Rooney & Berbatov playing.

Rooney on pens, freekicks when he fancies them. He is traditionally a bonus favourite. Much less rotation risk.

Its tough. I agree rooney hasnt exactly been inspirational this season but his fpl points to games ratio isnt really that bad i think people are blowing it out of proportion. I personally think berbatov is one of the greatest players to ever grace a premier league pitch probably only equalled by cantona and bergkamp but id never select him over rooney if i could afford either.

Word to the wicked just checked rooneys fpl statistics this season hes only played 90 minutes 7 times and he has got 7 assists and 2 goals plus four bonus points. It is a myth that he is playing 'badly' in fpl terms. Theres not many players this season with an fpl points to games ratio better than that. Because he is paid to score and admittedly hasnt done so people are writing him off as a good option. Maybe in real life hes going through a slump but not in fantasy terms. In the last league game he played he got a goal an assist and 3 bonus.

I am wondering if Drogba will start tomorrow…Does anyone know? Did Ancelotti reveal the starting XI?
    Thanks!

If jayzico and goodfish were in a room together they'd probably just stand at opposite corners of the room and run into each other repeatably 🙂

    Guys,
    Team is linked.
I'm having a good year (for me), but I've managed to get too much tied up in my defence, cr@p keepers, and not enough exposure to the double gameweek in wk24.
    Time to wildcard?
    thanks

You have four dgw players not including the greek and gerrard. I see youve made two transfers, If youve taken those two bums out and put in two other dgw players, leaving you with six id say that is decent cover and youve got one more week to add to that no need to wildcard

I got rid of Gerard and the greek, and brought in Fabs + Djourou. So still only four DGW players.

Still not bad although i personally wouldnt get djourou. It might be worth another 4 point hit next week to bring two dgw players in and have six. Six is not a bad amount. Or even five if you dont want to take the points hit.

    Foster
    Kolarov Coleman Shawcross
Fabregas (c) Nani Adam Van Der Vaart
    Torres Tevez Campbell
    Subs: Robinson Jara Ferguson Konchesky

Happy with my team this week, going to save the transfer.

Just can't decide, Fabregas or Tevez captain?
    Thanks

I have those two and I've gone for Fabs as captain. Arsenal tend to play better away and City tend to struggle at home both for some strange reason.

tevez in particular is stronger away than at home, perhaps due to how the team is set up to play. fabs is my capt

Ya since September I think Tevez has only gotten 5+ points at home once.

I can see Arsenal destroying West Ham, but I believe Fabregas played 90 mins in the midweek game. Wonder if it'll affect his minutes this weekend?

it's a distinct possibily. arsenal 2-0 up after 65 mins n fab comes off not an unlikely scenario.

still, to dare is to do, right? i think i'm a man u/spurs/arsenal fan these days lol

I don't know if they'll destroy West Ham, they've struggled to beat some mediocre teams this season, but Fabs will pretty much be behind anything and everything that they do.

The other decent shout for captain is Van der Vaart. Loves home cooking and I fancy Spurs to beat Utd. He could end up with a 10 pt haul.

Well I can see Arsenal bouncing back from the embarrassing defeat to Ipswich and West Ham could well receive the backlash.

Haven't really considered VDV, but could be a good shout, he is fixture-proof!
