With no early fixtures today, gameweek 23 kicks-off with five 3pm games before Arsenal travel to Upton Park this evening. All the action can be followed in our Dugout Discussion chatroom.

The team news from the afternoon games is in, and here are the line-ups…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Terry, Cole, Essien, Ramires, Lampard, Anelka, Drogba, Malouda

Blackburn XI: Robinson, Salgado, Nelsen, Samba, Givet, Dunn, Olsson, Pedersen, Hoilett, Kalinic, Mame Diouf

Didier Drogba and Michael Essien both start for the home side, contrary to earlier stories. As for Blackburn, they make several changes notably welcoming back Chris Samba and benching El-Hadji Diouf.

Man City XI: Hart, Zabaleta, Toure, Kompany, Kolarov, De Jong, Barry, Adam Johnson, Toure Yaya, Tevez, Dzeko

Wolves XI: Hennessey, Zubar, Stearman, Berra, Ward, Hunt, Milijas, David Jones, Jarvis, Doyle, Fletcher

The major news from the game at Eastlands is that the new £27m signing Edin Dzeko makes his Premier League debut for the home side.

Stoke XI: Begovic, Wilkinson, Shawcross, Huth, Higginbotham, Delap, Whitehead, Wilson, Etherington, Jones, Sanli

Bolton XI: Jaaskelainen, Ricketts, Cahill, Knight, Robinson, Mark Davies, Muamba, Holden, Taylor, Kevin Davies, Elmander

Tuncay’s self-promotion earlier in the week seems to have done the business, as he starts for Stoke City today. Importantly for Bolton, Stuart Holden has come through an injury scare to start.

West Brom XI: Myhill, Jara, Tamas, Scharner, Cech, Mulumbu, Morrison, Brunt, Dorrans, Thomas, Odemwingie

Blackpool XI: Kingson, Eardley, Cathcart, Evatt, Crainey, Vaughan, Adam, Grandin, Taylor-Fletcher, Campbell, Varney

Roberto Di Matteo drops goalkeeper Scott Carson for the first time in the league this season, handing a start to Boaz Myhill.

Wigan XI: Al Habsi, Stam, Gary Caldwell, Alcaraz, Gohouri, Watson, N’Zogbia, Thomas, Diame, Figueroa, Rodallega

Fulham XI: Stockdale, Pantsil, Hangeland, Baird, Hughes, Davies, Etuhu, Murphy, Duff, Dempsey, Kamara

Charles N’Zogbia returns from suspension and starts for Wigan. As for Fulham, strikers Andrew Johnson and Moussa Dembele are only fit enough to make the bench.

Man City: Hart, Zabaleta, Toure, Kompany, Kolarov, De Jong, Barry, Adam Johnson, Toure Yaya, Tevez, Dzeko

I went to bed with N'Zogbia captain, planning to sleep through the deadline...

But, I woke up at 10:20 with a fecking nosebleed! Took it to be a sign from the big man upstairs that my fantasy team needed sorting out! So transferred Drogba out for Tevez (c).

If Tevez playing out of the 'left' becomes a permanent thing, then surely it makes Kolarov's position in the side more secure? He's easily their most potent attacking option at left back, and he'll be needed to provide width out on the left.

Possibly yeah, but cant Boateng play there too? And Kolarov isnt as mobile as Cashley so surely a more defensively solid Zabeleta is safer.

I think Kolarov is more likely to be used for easier fixtures (no offence to Wolves) where he has a bit less defensive duties to perform. Going to Arsenal, Manure, Chelsea etc, I think he might be benched.

          I agree with this.

Makes perfect sense and is in keeping with what we've seen. I'm not too fussed if he misses those games anyway.

I know it's gonna kill me when everyone moans and moans about their terrible luck when Kolarov goes wild in the near future.

We've all said that for about 3 months, and he's been rubbish every time. I am not holding out much hope. The only reason he is stil in my team was that I had to get rid of Scott Dann this week. Unless he does the business today, and Rafael doesn't get injured tomorrow, I'll be swapping them.

Managers are filthy porky tellers. Thought that was a given.

Here's a little doozy though, Pardew bollocked Enrique the other week for revealing he was injured an hour before a game on twitter - then Pardew says YESTERDAY that Carroll was injured and wont be playing.
Some managers are exceptions to the rule I suppose, and are just idiots.

A field on Small moor lane at the back of Walton. Spotted by a Street dog walker who saw the story in the Gazette. She then alerted the network of people we had searching in Walton and we got there within mins. Amazing story of survival for Arthur, who survived the A39 along the way. Gazette coming around next week for a follow up story.

Great start for Chris Powell at Charlton - held in very high regard in Leicester and hope he does well.

Yeah, sad to see him go but wish him all the best.

Reckon he might take on some of our players on loan. Logan and Neilson maybe!

Killed them. Kauto Star hit the last and came third, but he was already well beaten.

I wouldn't bother. It's hard enough watching iPlayer or 4oD.

          Phenomenal.

Breaking Bad and Californication are the best two TV shows i've ever watched.
