With no early fixtures today, gameweek 23 kicks-off with five 3pm games before Arsenal travel to Upton Park this evening. All the action can be followed in our Dugout Discussion chatroom.

The team news from the afternoon games is in, and here are the line-ups…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Terry, Cole, Essien, Ramires, Lampard, Anelka, Drogba, Malouda

Blackburn XI: Robinson, Salgado, Nelsen, Samba, Givet, Dunn, Olsson, Pedersen, Hoilett, Kalinic, Mame Diouf

Didier Drogba and Michael Essien both start for the home side, contrary to earlier stories. As for Blackburn, they make several changes notably welcoming back Chris Samba and benching El-Hadji Diouf.

Man City XI: Hart, Zabaleta, Toure, Kompany, Kolarov, De Jong, Barry, Adam Johnson, Toure Yaya, Tevez, Dzeko

Wolves XI: Hennessey, Zubar, Stearman, Berra, Ward, Hunt, Milijas, David Jones, Jarvis, Doyle, Fletcher

The major news from the game at Eastlands is that the new £27m signing Edin Dzeko makes his Premier League debut for the home side.

Stoke XI: Begovic, Wilkinson, Shawcross, Huth, Higginbotham, Delap, Whitehead, Wilson, Etherington, Jones, Sanli

Bolton XI: Jaaskelainen, Ricketts, Cahill, Knight, Robinson, Mark Davies, Muamba, Holden, Taylor, Kevin Davies, Elmander

Tuncay’s self-promotion earlier in the week seems to have done the business, as he starts for Stoke City today. Importantly for Bolton, Stuart Holden has come through an injury scare to start.

West Brom XI: Myhill, Jara, Tamas, Scharner, Cech, Mulumbu, Morrison, Brunt, Dorrans, Thomas, Odemwingie

Blackpool XI: Kingson, Eardley, Cathcart, Evatt, Crainey, Vaughan, Adam, Grandin, Taylor-Fletcher, Campbell, Varney

Roberto Di Matteo drops goalkeeper Scott Carson for the first time in the league this season, handing a start to Boaz Myhill.

Wigan XI: Al Habsi, Stam, Gary Caldwell, Alcaraz, Gohouri, Watson, N’Zogbia, Thomas, Diame, Figueroa, Rodallega

Fulham XI: Stockdale, Pantsil, Hangeland, Baird, Hughes, Davies, Etuhu, Murphy, Duff, Dempsey, Kamara

Charles N’Zogbia returns from suspension and starts for Wigan. As for Fulham, strikers Andrew Johnson and Moussa Dembele are only fit enough to make the bench.

Man City: Hart, Zabaleta, Toure, Kompany, Kolarov, De Jong, Barry, Adam Johnson, Toure Yaya, Tevez, Dzeko

    whatcha reckon for GW24 lads...

    a) RVP -> Berb
    b) Tevez -> Rooney/Berb

    I quite fancy giving Rooney a go for 2 weeks, but is hard to drop Tevez given his form...

    Wisdom of the day

    Don't listen to others, just go with your instinct! Had RVP (c) until 11:29 when people talked me out of it, but I needed a differential. STill tevez(c) not too shabby, just a bit sheep like.

    Cunning plan of the day
    Get a few Birmingham players in, before they are Birmingham players, Keene for example. Then you can play 4 or 5 for the trebble week 27. Would that work or am I missing something? Of course you then need to offload all those Brum players with no WC left!

    Think West Ham might be too small a club for Big Sam?

    Walcott is a better FPL prospect than Fabregas. Discuss.

    so what would happen right if your player had a clean sheet after 87 mins with all subs made and had to leave the field because of an injury, and opponents then scored. 6pts or 2pts ?

    Slightly peeved I captained Fabs and not RVP... 🙁

    A couple of BPs would soften the blow...
