With the free wildcard window well and truly open, there’s a lot more to ponder this week for us fantasy mangers. If you’ve already succumbed and activated yours, then there is just over an hour to make any final tinkering. If, like me, you have resisted, then the normal ritual applies (or do as I, and close your eyes and pray this week).

Whatever you situation, the Saturday Surgery is here to take you through the deadline…

As always, there are some useful places on the site to visit this morning, particularly if you’re yet to finalise your plans. The Team News section houses all the predicted line-ups for this weekend. Check out the Injuries and Bans page to see how long your fantasy stars are absent for. Last night’s Scout Picks are also worth a gander, with prospective players for this upcoming gameweek highlighted.

Lastly, don’t forgot to consider this week’s Captain’s Poll, which you’ll find on the middle column of the site’s home page. The people have spoken, and at the top this week is Carlos Tevez with a comprehensive 37% of the total votes.

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

Fabregas > Nasri I'd say. But with all of the weird goings on at West Ham, Arsenal could give them an absolute seeing to today.

I'll put it out here right now: I expect Tevez to thrive in that position and have a huge game today.

He's been wasted playing outside the penalty area with his back to goal in home games all season, now he'll get the ball on his feet going forward and in space.

    Buggu me!

Sorry Hunter but Villa are Villa. Maybe setting the expectations a wee bit too high doesn't help. 14 million wage bill is nothing in relation to the "Big teams" in England. Is Wayne Rooney not on about 250 K per week. thats 12 million per year for one player. Thats what you are up against and the change of tactics since he left currently has your team in the bottom 3. Are you happier now ?

      Dude, seriously?

      A £14million total wage bill?

£14million MORE than Spurs wage bill.

That is a lot of f*cking money!

Do we? He's only been dropped by choice once. Seems like people on here hype up the rotation more than was due.

Don't see a problem myself, and i have selection headaches most weeks anyway, so no biggie!

The only time he's actually been 'dropped' was against Villa where there was heavy rotation because the congested schedule.

I bloody hope he does something today!

          Exactly!
Tevez was rested that game too, but we're not calling him a rotation risk!

Kolarov's rotation problem is one that only exists on this site and not in real life. That said he is a shocking defender so i wouldn't bet against Zabaleta getting the nod over him in big games (where iwon't be expecting big returns anyway - so no biggie)

he wasn't going to be rested with this match being 10 days since his last game and 8 days before his next game. so that leaves being dropped and even when floundering a bit he's streets ahead of chelsea's alternatives as highlighted by the liverpool and tottenham games. to me that suggested a start, but the extent of the media hype was a bit alarming admittedly.
