With the free wildcard window well and truly open, there’s a lot more to ponder this week for us fantasy mangers. If you’ve already succumbed and activated yours, then there is just over an hour to make any final tinkering. If, like me, you have resisted, then the normal ritual applies (or do as I, and close your eyes and pray this week).

Whatever you situation, the Saturday Surgery is here to take you through the deadline…

As always, there are some useful places on the site to visit this morning, particularly if you’re yet to finalise your plans. The Team News section houses all the predicted line-ups for this weekend. Check out the Injuries and Bans page to see how long your fantasy stars are absent for. Last night’s Scout Picks are also worth a gander, with prospective players for this upcoming gameweek highlighted.

Lastly, don’t forgot to consider this week’s Captain’s Poll, which you’ll find on the middle column of the site’s home page. The people have spoken, and at the top this week is Carlos Tevez with a comprehensive 37% of the total votes.

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

My current Wc team has spud features, Dzeko and Carroll up top. What can go wrong.

          Tevez + Dzeko > Rooney + Dzeko

Though i imagine pride would be a barrier - do it!!

There's no basis to have both Tevez and Dzeko yet.

Plenty of class players play well elsewhere and not in the prem.

Just watched a Dzeko goals compilation, seems to always be in the right place at the right time. Looks strong in the air (should work well with tiny Tevez) and is also fast. The real deal.

If you watched a video of just his goals i can see why you'd get that impression.

Getting a feel for the way he plays, pretty opposite to Tevez apart from a similar work ethic.

But you've watched a compilation of his best bits - of course he looks good.

I agree he looks good also, but so many shit players look amazing on youtube. I'll be wanting to see him properly over the next couple of week and then probably WC him in for gw27 if he delivers.

Wolves have been by far the better team and Man City don't deserve to be level.

City are getting nothing going forward. Tevez has had the odd pop from range but it's all speculative.

Johnson is hogging and wasting the ball.

Dzeko has been trying to get involved and looks capable, but has had absolutely no service so it'd be harsh to critisize.

Wolves have been playing some nice football though, if they keep this kind of form up they won't get relegated.
