The first day of a gameweek that stretches over five successive days gets underway shortly at Molineux. Follow all the day’s action with us in our Dugout Discussion chatroom.

So Mick McCarthy’s side host a Liverpool team looking to avenge the defeat from their previous league meeting in today’s early game, and the team sheets are in…

Wolves XI: Hennessey, Zubar, Stearman, Berra, Ward, Jarvis, Henry, Milijas, Hunt, Doyle, Fletcher

Liverpool XI: Reina, Kelly, Skrtel, Agger, Johnson, Kuyt, Lucas, Poulsen, Meireles, Maxi, Torres

Both sides line-up as expected, with only Christian Poulsen starting ahead of Jay Spearing for the visitors.

Following that we have a colossal seven fixtures this afternoon and evening. At 3pm Arsenal host Wigan, Blackpool kick-off their home double against Darren Bentless Sunderland, West Ham travel to Steven Pienaarless Everton, Fulham welcome the visit of Stoke, Man United take on Birmingham and Spurs are up at Newcastle.

Then, this evening, big-spenders Man City face big-spenders Aston Villa at Villa Park.

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

Everyone complaining about having Rooney over Berbatov, don't worry Berbatov wont play against Blackpool and Rooney will get a brace...
    i hope.

explain..... you have a striker who has just bagged a hat-trick, doesn't run about too much and you are gonna bench him and play your other striker who has done nothing at all for months. Of all the forwards in the PL Berbatov is the least likely to need a rest

I still find it unlikely he'd do it again though. Berbatov is a confidence player and he's clearly got no shortage of that atm......

81 Tevez to go, regret coleman over Djourou but superb GW so far and 7 DGW'ers to go and likely reclaiming top spot on money league. Lovely.

    RVP 3
    Adam 3 🙂

I thought Fabregas was the best player on the pitch (as per usual), but RVP's hat-trick means he'll pick up all 3 bp by a long stretch.

Easiest transfer of the season Rooney OUT RVP IN, Rooney was excellent in the first half, before he moved to LB, what is going on with United letting Rooney go that deep, waste.
