Chelsea ended a run of six away matches without a win by inflicting another mauling on Bolton in front of their own fans. Didier Drogba’s “worldie” strike accompanied goals from Nicolas Anelka, Ramires and Florent Malouda, as Chelsea’s forgotten attacking talent put Fantasy Managers on alert with an emphatic display.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side lined up without Frank Lampard in midfield – he was left behind nursing a calf injury but will be expected to return for the trip to Sunderland in Gameweek 25. Mikel made his return to the midfield following to compensate and slotted in alongside Michael Essien and Ramires.

Didier Drogba’s 30-yard stunner was just his second goal in his last 6 league starts, while his maximum 3 Bonus Points was his first since Gameweek 3. It provided further evidence that the Ivorian was gradually edging back to something like his best form, just in time to join the party as the competition for places in our Fantasy forward line heats up. Drogba’s double Gameweek 28 fixtures offer two Stamford Bridge encounters with United and Birmingham and could see interest in him revived. Drogba has dropped to a season low 12.2 in the Fantasy Premier League game.

Florent Malouda’s strike was his second in 5 games and took him to 9 for the season. Significantly, he earned further Bonus Points and has now gathered 8 in those previous 5 matches. Malouda is surely another who must be considered for Chelsea‘s double and, with his price and ownership falling dramatically of late, he offers a potential differential in the coming weeks.

The Chelsea back four kept their third clean sheet in 5 matches and once again Jose Bosingwa provided good value with fourth start over those 5 games. At 5.4, the Portuguese right-back continues to offer the cheapest route to Chelsea’s defensive returns, although with a move for Benfica’s David Luiz looking immanent, his place could come under threat in the coming weeks with Branislav Ivanovic always an option at right-back.

Bolton’s miserable run of form continues as they slipped to a fifth defeat in 8 games, their fourth in the last 5. Owen Coyle’s side have scored just 2 goals in those 5 games as Kevin Davies and Johan Elmander continue to struggle to find the net following an outstanding start to the season. The home clash with Wolves in Gameweek 25 now looks vital as the Trotters looks to halt the slide down the table. Fantasy Managers will have surely long since given up on Bolton as a source of Fantasy points.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Team for this week:

    Begovic (Kingson)
    Hangeland/Kolorov/Pantsil(Coleman/Evatt)
    Fab/Walcott/Nani/VDV(Adam)
    RVP/Rooney/Berba

    1.7m in the bank

Planning on wc next week, could have 9 doubles in gwk27 n 6 in gwk28, no hits.

worried about birmingham players n walcott being rested against wolves, hopefully he;ll hav a rest tonight.

what would you guys do with this? I'm in the fortunate position of having a team value of 109.4 mostly tied up in coleman/berba/nani/vdv whom i plan to keep 🙂

My recommendation is no more than two players from any team. Gw 28 could easily be a single for Chelsea, none for ARS, Spurs, and BIr!!

I let the girlfriend take me out for a drive in the country today. We were going down a quiet country lane when she said,
"Shall we do something we've never done in the car before?"

I said, "Go on then, bang it into 4th gear."

Cryuff said: "Barca are a sensational team with or without Alves.

"Is it better to have him with us? Sure. City are interested, though, and it may be better to sell him than wait for his contract to end next year and leave on a free."

The Dutch legend compared City's acquisition of Yaya Toure with Alves' possible move.

Cruyff said: "If he goes, negotiations will be simple. We will say 'Thanks, goodbye and good luck'.

"It's exactly the same as Toure. Coach Pep Guardiola wants Alves to stay, as he did Toure - but what cannot be, cannot be."

    Sorry for the repost
    Some Advice please,
    plan was
    GW25 kuyt>Cahill – Free(will bench and play Vaughan(my cheapie)
GW26 Torres>RVP/Drogba – Free. (Cahill should be back)
    GW27 Vaughan/Adam>Fergusion/Bentley(depends if Adam goes)

    Concern is
RVP – possible rested V Wolves, no GW28
Drogba – possible flash in the pan display/still MU & MC to play

Stick to plan or consider something else?

Transfers look solid but definatly don't recommend bringing a player in just to bench them. We're not 100% sure cahill will be back for B'pool and he might get injured inbetween you transferring him in and playing again.

I would sit tight this week.

I'd go RVP based on the fact he's got a double in GW27. I wouldn't think too much about rotation at this point, you can always assess closer to the time. According to recent tweets, Wenger is looking to rotate less going forward anyway. You can always bring Drog in for his double in GW28.

I was in the restaurant yesterday when I suddenly realized I desperately needed to pass wind. The music was really, really loud, so I timed my wind eruptions with the beat of the music.

After a couple of songs, I started to feel better. I finished my coffee, and noticed that everybody was staring at me....
