As promised, the free to enter Members Paddy Power Cup is here and now open for registration. The competition is open to all Members of Fantasy Football Scout. Gameweek 25 will be the qualifying round, so all scores (minus point hits) will be ranked, and the top 512 (or 256 should there be less than 512 entries) will progress to the First round proper.

If you’re new to the site and are unfamiliar with the format of this competition, here is a recap of the rules…

What is the Paddy Power Cup?
The Paddy Power Cup is our version of the Fantasy Premier League’s Fantasy Cup game. Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores). In the event of a tie, the Manager highest in the overall standings will progress.

Each Gameweek the number of teams will halve, and when the competition reaches the latter stages, Mark and Granville will make live draws on the podcast as we reach our exciting conclusion.

How do I enter?
There’s a new way to register for the competition this time round, simply follow this link and fill out the form.

This requires you to enter your Fantasy Football Scout Name (the one you use to post comments with), your FPL Team ID# (this can be found by clicking ‘History’ under your kit on your team page. The address bar should be of the form ‘http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/entryhist.mc?id=X’, where X is your unique 1 to 7 digit team ID number. N.b. Valid links do NOT end ‘myteam.mc’), and your email address (the one registered with the site).

If you fail to provide all these details, then you will not be entered into the qualifying round. Please do not create a new, cup-specific team, only enter your existing team. A confirmation email will be sent shortly after you’ve submitted your details to acknowledge your entry has been received.

When does it start?
All entries received before the Gameweek 25 deadline will be entered into the qualifying round. The first round proper of the members Paddy Power Cup will be Gameweek 26.

When will I find out if I’ve qualified?
Results from the qualifying round will be published around 24 hoursrs after Gameweek 25 has been completed.

When are the fixtures released?
The fixture list for each round will be published a day or two before each deadline.

Is there a prize?
Sponsors Paddy Power are supplying the members competition with some great prizes, which break down as follows:

  • Winner – £150 worth of free bets
  • Runner-up – £75 worth of free bets
  • 3rd Place – £50 worth of free bets

If you’re not with Paddy Power yet, then you can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register and bet £10. (All offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions.)

            lol- don't tempt me! 😛

It's on oral history and the advantages of it as a source of historical information.

It's annoying because I was going really well, and possibly heading for a first, but now I've really hit a wall trying to finish the last 600 words..... 😕

Guess this is what happens when you try to do a 2500 word essay in one night..... 😀 😀 😀

I could never do an essay in a day. I had to do mine whilst drinking gallons of cider to take away the boredom.

Which 1 to bench out of the following midfield:

    Adam/Nasri/VDV/Nani/Dempsey

Its between VDV, Nasri, and Dempsey for me. I have RVP starting.

this has been a season where ALOT of people who don't usually do well are flying, 10 points can move you up thousands of places.
Make your own decisions as SuperD says, watch the games pick your boys,i have't checked your history but im sure its better than his!,,don't be in awe of any Mo Fo here or anywhere.

              2006/07: 329591

You can only play 7 of your front 8. If you want Nolan so badly sell someone else. Not trying to be flippant, i just think it's good to have someone easily benchable.

      Not a fan.

Too many mid priced, mediocre mids. One of Malouda, Young and Lennon is probably enough, two at most, and why don't you have Nani?

Defense is too weak as well. You need someone more reliable than Spector. Assume you have Foster as your last keeper.

    Hey guys,

Given the below squad are there any pressing transfers to be made? Thinking of saving the transfer. Rooney will probably go in GW26 unless he goes nuts this week....

    Foster, Stockdale
    Rafael, Coleman, Bosingwa, Djourou, Kelly
    Nani, VDV, Nasri, Adam, N'Zog
    Tevez, Rooney, RVP
    Bank 0.4m

        Save the transfer.

Stockdale did good this week, and will probably come good next week too, but after that...

save a transfer this week then you could downgrade rooney -> Odemwingie/cheapie and upgrade Nasri -> Fabs? or maybe upgrade N'Zog -> Cahill?

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Also need to think about getting rid of Stockdale once Schwarzer is back, but hate wasting transfers on GKs...

Usually Tevez does well away from home, but B'Ham are pretty tough at home. It's a risk but it can pay off. A safer option would be Berbs,RVP or Nani as they are all home.

Djourou and even Coleman over Evatt.

Captaincy could go to any one of RVP, Berbatov, Tevez, Nani. It's a tossup really. Probably RVP on current form.

That's a toss up. Stick with the player you have. Both players are at home to terrible teams. Save the transfer and have two free transfers next week.

Just recommending transferring him out. Not worth it at that price. Ivanovic is a better buy.

Birmingham have a DGW in GW27. They might miss out on a game in GW28 & have another DGW in GW29.

              No.

Birmingham have a double gameweek in 27, a double in 29 and another double somewhere later down the line.

    Hello

Bad decision again to captain Nani instead of Berbatov but still lucky enough to get green arrow.

Now considering to get RVP in for good Arsenal fixtures but not sure who to replace.

A: Torres - Silent with Fulham doubt me, but next home with Stoke still hopeful.
B: Tevez - away to Birmingham could be tough and low score.

I'm now leaning to B. Keeping Torres for another week and get Tevez back on GW26.

How do you feel about this? Any thought please.

very good point, that is a very real possibility esp with dzeko in the team and the way wba struggle with set pieces.

considering keeping kolarov instead of rafael..
