The calm before the storm? Right now we’re still waiting for the £50 million Fernando Torres bomb to go off, while the fuse looks to be burning away nicely on Andy Carroll’s proposed transfer to Anfield as his £35 million replacement. Incredible stuff if it comes off.

Right now we have to be content with just a couple of moves, the most significant of which appears to be Blackpool’s signing of Andy Reid from Sunderland. Yesterday it was reported that Ian Holloway had targeted the impish Irishman as a possible replacement for Charlie Adam who is of course coveted by Liverpool.

Could Dalglish swoop for the Blackpool playmaker to help ease the loss of Torres? It’s just one of many unanswered questions right now on what is proving to be a deadline day full of big speculation, although typically, nothing much has happened just yet.

    Yep - When you confirm the transfers the FPL site will tell you it can't process them as you'll have too many MUN players. You can leave 4 in as long as you like, though, as long as you don't want to transfer any of your players.
