After possibly the most staggering day of Premier League football ever witnessed, today has a lot to live up to. But, being billed as the headline act of the weekend, this afternoon’s match-up at Stamford Bridge certainly has the potential to do so. And rest assured, the Dugout Discussion is here to take you through another roller-coaster day of fantasy football.

This first half of the day’s Premier League action is Birmingham City’s trip to Upton Park, and the team news is in…

Contrasting fortunes see West Ham without Matthew Upson and Jonathan Spector after they were unable to shake off knocks, whereas Roger Johnson, Barry Ferguson and Cameron Jerome all passed late fitness tests to make the starting line-up for Birmingham.

West Ham XI: Green, Jacobsen, Reid, Tomkins, Bridge, O’Neil, Parker, Noble, Obinna, Keane, Piquionne

Birmingham XI: Foster, Carr, Johnson, Jiranek, Ridgewell, Bentley, Bowyer, Ferguson, Gardner, Jerome, Zigic

Then, at 4pm, a game that had little interest or significance just over a week ago. But with Liverpool’s best player switching sides in a British transfer record, anticipation of this game has been immense. Fernando Torres looks set to make his Chelsea debut and fill the back pages whatever happens today.

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

I don't particularly like either of them for the double.

IMO, try not to be too seduced by the double. 2 x 2 points isn't that great, particularly for a player you'll want to get rid of very quickly afterwards.

I'd say yes to the first one, because of Odem's dgw and Dzeko not always selected. But I don't like Brunt's form at the moment.

    Hey guys,
After a horrible start to the season things are looking up but am in need of some advice.
This is the team I think I’ll have for next GW after one hit.

    Gordon (Al-Habsi)
    Kelly Coleman Djourou (Rafael, Pantsil)
    Adam (Nani) Cahill Fabs(C) Bentley
    RvP Odem (Tevez)

    1. Right keeper choice?
    2. Play Nani or Tevez?
    3. Everything else look okay?

Cheers in advance, all help appreciated!

        Not true.

You may know come the middle of GW27, but Arsenal and Spurs don't have to reschedule their game into the midweek of GW28 (and they could have done it now anyway, just like Chelsea v United with the proviso it could move again, people seem to forget).

If that is the case -as it is- the time limit is open ended until the end of the season on us knowing when the game will be rescheduled, it's just there may be more news after the Orient game.

Honestly? I Really don't know, sorry. But I'm "preparing" myself as if it won't be on.

If Arsenal beat Orient there is a spot there a week and half later, of course, and it definitely could and quite possibly will be rescheduled then. But I don't think people should take it as read it will happen, I'm certainly not.
