After Tuesday’s results, it’s time to announce how those 128 fantasy managers making it through to the second round of the Members Paddy Power Cup have been paired off. The full set of fixtures can be viewed right here.

Last week’s top scorer, RafaMC, faces tougher opposition this week (sorry Mark) in 2,888th in the world The Barbarians.

Another centurion from last week, xabi_14, has been matched up against the winner of the only drawn fixture from last week, trisonetwo.

Current holder of the non-Members Paddy Power Cup, Gooner dave, looks to have a favourable tie against rank outsider JimmyDeemo.

After Helge682 was put to the sword in round one by Dirty_harry (up against Girtmint this week), the highest-ranked manager left in the competition regularjohn (44th in the world) has been pitted against Kippax Kloggers.

Despite an array of big names left in the competition, looking for a ‘glamour tie’ doesn’t reveal too many candidates. So instead I’ll just wish denial the best of luck (poisoned chalice?) as he looks land the knock-out blow to pompeyfan, after I softened him up last week.

The Scout representatives are down to a pitiful two, but da Beeeez will fancy his chances against Kvanmo, as will last-out-of-the-hat Granville in his tie with Mole, with both Contributors holding a hefty world rank advantage.

The round two fixtures will be played over the long Gameweek 27, and I’ll bring you a round-up of the results a couple of days after it has ended.

The prizes courtesy of Paddy Power for the competition are a free £150 bet for the winner, £75 for the runner-up and £50 for third place.

If you’re not with Paddy Power yet, then you can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register and bet £10. (All offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions.)

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

"Ben Foster fit and available for Saturday's game, no fresh injuries for Alex McLeish." Cool don't need to spend pouints on keeper this week... will need a points hit next week though if ARS / TOT off

Bascially every injury from last weekend or this week is going to be ok for the weekend. Managers just protecting their players. I'm sticking with my wc team I did last week and plan to leave two free transfers for next week. I'd rather be an optimist than a pessimist

Great news for Cahill owners as he will pushes even further forward. That was the only dilema I had of bringing him in with Saha and Beckford competiting for the top spots.

That doesn't mean it's confirmed, eatsleepsport isn't an official channel and certainly not one that we use. Even clubcall the one I posted in the tweets isn't a totally trustworthy source. I would wait until official confirmation comes out.

djourou said in an interview today he thinks he'll be fit for wolves (doesn't mean wenger will risk him though)
nothing new on vdv but it was just a calf strain, not sure he'll be risked 1st match. 2nd game is v blackpool though and i'd expect him to outscore barton, nani, berb even with 1 game

well if they don't play they'll be auto subbed. But vdv v blackpool is no risk and should outscore a lot of the shitty dgw'ers like stoke, newcastle. If he plays 2 then it's a bonus.
Same deal with djourou, 2 nice fixtures good cs prospects for either one.

                  that's the tough part 😀
personally i'd bench barton, a lot of people probably won't agree with me on that but newcastle have been very poor on their travels and I think they'll struggle for goals. manchester derby probably won't be high scoring but I can't see utd not scoring tbh and if they do it's highly likely to be one of nani/berbs.
Defence is even tougher, I'm playing rafael over coleman I think but it could go either way with those 3

    Kelly Johnson Simpson (Coleman Djourou)
    Fabregas VDV Nani Adam Brunt
    Tevez RVP (Berbatov)
    1.8 in the bank
Got two free transfers.. wanna use just one, but my only real weaknesses are berbs and djourou..
A)Berbs to ODemwingie (will have to bench one of my front 8 which i dont really wanna do)
B)djourou to Huth (but then i’d have to bench one of defenders all with good games and double up on stoke)
C)long term transfer like djourou to walker/kolarov/jagielka in preparation for next week and bench them this week.. it’s a free transfer anyway..
    which option?

You're in a pretty similar boat to me (although you've already got Fabregas whilst I've still got A Young). I'm just doing A Young --> Walcott and using my carry-over 2 freebies to fix it next week.

Thing about Djourou is I can't really see the point in getting rid - he's a season keeper (assuming he recovers, which tweets are encouraging about), so it seems rather a waste of transfers to get him out and in again. That said, your team is kinda zugzwanged. One idea - do you really want Gordon over Foster?

gordon is 4.5 and foster 5.2.. gordon's served me well too so think i'm gonna keep him.. djourou may be dropped when vermaelen comes back? if i dont get rid of djourou i'll have 5 players not playin next week.. cant get rid of RVP or VDV or R.johnson next week so it'll have to be Fabregas and Djourou that get the chop

Hmm, interesting. I'll be honest - my main motivation for playing Coleman over Kolarov is because the people below me in my minileague will play Coleman (and don't have Kolarov), so it's a defensive (ho-ho) manoeuvre. I think if it weren't for them I'd totally play Kolarov. I think maybe I still will though. Decision decisions...

Like most people I've got VdV + 2 Arsenal going into 28, and I want to to Adam to Cahill next week (definitely keeping Adam this week). So the real gamble for me is whether to bring in Roget Johnson to augment Foster. It would mean playing 10 in 28 as there's no obvious candidate to ship (why sell VdV, Fabs, OR Johnson when he has another nice double?). Is Johnson going to be worth that? He's no longer on pens, not THAT much fo a goal threat, and I already have Foster...

Defender Johan Djourou hopes to be fit for Arsenal's home match against Wolves this Saturday, calming fears over the extent of his knee injury.

Just put him in for those thinking of benching him for a SGW player.. You might regret it if he's fit for both.

I'd rather risk him being fit for both games when he'll definitely be fit for Stoke, than play someone who's only fit for one.

        common sense really.

I had two frees, and I sold him for Carr in order to allow me to get Walcott. Gulp, nervous, nervous.

Are people assuming that Kelly is fit since Dalglish didnt mention him as an injury doubt in his last press conf?

yeah pretty much. Steve clark said earlier in the week they had to wait for gerrard and kelly to return to melwood before assesing them, then when kenny spoke about injuries later in the week there was no mention of kelly

I can see a problem developing. I want to play my "any-time" wildcard next week, so that I can both have a bunch of Ars-Tot players this week, and field a good, full-strength 11 next week as well.

So, when do I hit the button on the wildcard? I'll be tempted to do it on Saturday night, because there's always price rises that night, and probably quite a few in a week like this. But if the Arsenal-Tottenham game goes ahead in Gameweek 28, then I'll look an absolute boob.

When will we know for certain that that game is/isn't happenning next week? I remember Jamsiep mentioned that the police need at least 1 weeks notice.

Hit it Saturday night and get the risers if you're going to do it.

I feel inclined to take that risk as well. But I'll have totally thrown it away if Arsenal and Tottenham end up playing in that week.

The police notice is pretty spot on, especially for a massive game like Arsenal Spurs.

According to the Arsenal ticket office it is currently being discussed and they have been told TV scheduling is holding up the decision

Anyone else worried about kolarov's starting place now that he's battling with city's attacking talents for a startin place.. he's obviously not gonna defend again

I personally don't think it's that obvious. I fully expect to see him back at left back at least occasionally in the rest of the season.

he will play defence against some teams, but not against those with fast wingers - he's too slow to keep up.

      the way i see it,
      1. he'll play up the left against the "weaker" sides
      2. play LB against the middling/average sides
      3. wont play against any team with fast RW as he can't keep up.

this is just my guess. 🙂

he'll probably play left back 90% of the time. Mancini isn't going to just leave dzeko on the bench all season

it's still going to be a North London derby.

Would have been funny if Sp*rs moved to Stratford though.

Hi guys, you think I've got the correct players on the bench this week? Going 3-5-2 atm. It's scary leaving some of them out...

    Foster (Gordon)

    Rafael, Huth, Kelly (Kolarov, Coleman)

    Fabregas, Nani, VDV, Adam, Brunt

    Van Persie (c), Campbell (Tevez)
