After Tuesday’s results, it’s time to announce how those 128 fantasy managers making it through to the second round of the Members Paddy Power Cup have been paired off. The full set of fixtures can be viewed right here.

Last week’s top scorer, RafaMC, faces tougher opposition this week (sorry Mark) in 2,888th in the world The Barbarians.

Another centurion from last week, xabi_14, has been matched up against the winner of the only drawn fixture from last week, trisonetwo.

Current holder of the non-Members Paddy Power Cup, Gooner dave, looks to have a favourable tie against rank outsider JimmyDeemo.

After Helge682 was put to the sword in round one by Dirty_harry (up against Girtmint this week), the highest-ranked manager left in the competition regularjohn (44th in the world) has been pitted against Kippax Kloggers.

Despite an array of big names left in the competition, looking for a ‘glamour tie’ doesn’t reveal too many candidates. So instead I’ll just wish denial the best of luck (poisoned chalice?) as he looks land the knock-out blow to pompeyfan, after I softened him up last week.

The Scout representatives are down to a pitiful two, but da Beeeez will fancy his chances against Kvanmo, as will last-out-of-the-hat Granville in his tie with Mole, with both Contributors holding a hefty world rank advantage.

The round two fixtures will be played over the long Gameweek 27, and I’ll bring you a round-up of the results a couple of days after it has ended.

The prizes courtesy of Paddy Power for the competition are a free £150 bet for the winner, £75 for the runner-up and £50 for third place.

If you’re not with Paddy Power yet, then you can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register and bet £10. (All offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions.)

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

He's fit and ready to go, so says this link. He was subbed off as a precaution....meja put two and two together and came up with 5 re serious injury.

no one seems to mention, regarding djourou, the statement wenger made before djourou's "injury". He said he does not want to play djourou twice a week in light of his previous injury to prevent any further injury. However he was forced to for a spell because of a lack of healthy options. Im not saying this new knock has any relation to his former injury, but I think even if djourou is declared fit for the weekend, it would be shortsighted, given Arsenals heavy schedule, to not expect him to be rested somewhere in this GW, and in the future.

That is a good point Warbles. But also think of this: Arsenal playing without Djourou is a weaker defense. Which of the up-coming games would Wenger think "that's fine to go into with a weaker defense"? I don't think he can afford to take any of them lightly. If he rest Djourou then he's definitely got a weaker defense, but if he plays him there is just a risk of having a weaker defense in a later game if Djourou gets injured. I think like RVP it's more likely Wenger will start them and sub them off once a game is well in hand.

Ha ha well that's a very good point! At 4-0 up you'd probably be thinking you can start resting your guys... That probably keeps Wenger up at night. He should have insisted on buying a new CB in the transfer window.

        Good comment FW.

I think for the reasons you mention he will be leaving for Kelly today unless Wenger comes out and says "Djourou will be playing 180 minutes of the DGW and rested for Barca, Adam is on 8 yellows but I did not see that so cannot comment".

        Which probably won't happen.

        Here have some Mescaline.

People with RVP, Odem and Fab - who are you captaining?
RVP hit with flu, Cesc had a stomach bug which forced him to withdraw from the England squad to face Colombia - apparently!! I would like confirmation both with play both games. Out of those two, i think Cesc is more likely to.

as I said on the last page of the previous post, I bet Moyes will be his normally annoying self and not even mention it in his press conference. it always seems to just slip his mind when his key players get injured.

Maybe he should spent more time talking about injury news, and less about what Catalan midfield maestros say in tunnels to referees.

Not that I'm holding a grudge about anything.

because Hodgson is suddenly a crap manager who can never do anything right and has no track record anywhere apart from when he had to clean up Rafa Benitez's mess at Liverpool and is nothing but an old soggy git who rubs his face a lot and can't pronounce his 'r's.

      Oui?

i just think that bringing a coach who had a desastrous season (half season in the case) is not good for the team... just a mental thing...
it's like inter... the moral(?? is it like this in english?) levels were low because mourinho left the club, and suddenly a coach with a ver low moral is takingover the team. it's pandemic...they all bring each other down..

of course, it's allways like that. but i've seen too many times...

Sorry goreds, massively disagree.Hodgson will be good for West Brom, works well with minimal budgets and has great contacts to bring in affordable decent players and he won't bankrupt their club for glory boys.

Is it worth taking a hit to bring in any non-DGW players this week? Considering Young as Blackpool leak goals and would save me a hit the next week.

Take the hit next week when you have a clearer picture, unless you're short of players.

"likely to feature" is different than "most likely to feature" in relation to other doubtful players. Their projected XI still has no VDV. That beig said, goal.com has as much inside information as my 7 year old nephew.

Except they don't predict him to be in the Spurs XI.

They say he's the most likely of the injury doubts to play.

guess im benching simpson. damn if i knew I would bench him for the double, i would have just WC'ed walker in instead. Oh well, anyway, this bit is a repost that got no response earlier, trying again:

have a free transfer but already know i need one next week with VDV, Fabs, RVP and carr on blanks. already had in mind going fabs->cahill, but with adam also on the squad, im looking at needing both transfers if he gets booked. Would A Young be a sound buy for adam, his fixtures look pretty good. then GW29 getting a brum midfielder (which one?)to replace brunt, which would give me 2 brum and 2 everton.

    Decent plan? Thoughts? Snide remarks?

I would just save the transfer and have 2 for 28, Adam might not get booked, the Ars V Spurs game could (though it's spectacularly unlikely) go ahead.

Ultimately with Brum's second double in 29 it might not be the end of the world only fielding 10 in 28.

really am tempted to put cahill in over vdv!! every week i get this urge to do something that makes no logical sense

last week it was defoe in for rvp and captaincy from tevez to defoe which backfired, week before it was roon captain over berbatov which did!!

i know ill end up with cahill in, always like a gamble

i may have confused with the wording, not transferring anyone this week, just making sure the idea next GW was a good one if adam is booked. Plus who out of brum midfield lads?
