There may only be one Premier League fixture tonight but it’s one of huge significance, both for our Fantasy Football fortunes and on the destination of the Premier League title. Manchester United are the visitors, and Chelsea are the hosts.

With Chelsea fifteen points adrift and having a turbulent season, it’s United who are looking to edge closer to that 19th Premier League trophy. More importantly of course, it’s United who are featuring in their second game of the gameweek, meaning most of us are loaded up with their players.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open for business, and the team sheets are in…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Ivanovic, David Luiz, Terry, Cole, Essien, Lampard, Ramires, Anelka, Torres, Malouda

Man United XI: Van der Sar, O’Shea, Smalling, Vidic, Evra, Fletcher, Carrick, Scholes, Nani, Hernandez, Rooney

Sir Alex has named his first unchanged team since May 2008 (thanks Shreevesy), meaning Dimitar Berbatov is once again left in favour of Mexican sensation Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez.

As for the Champions, and they also leave a big name striker on the bench in Didier Drogba, with Carlo Ancelotti clearly hoping Fernando Torres’ supposed hoodoo over Nemanja Vidic surfaces tonight.

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

This place has turned into the worst form of Redcafe v "Insert Arsenal Blog" v "Chelsea blog" etc dribble

So much for the being the only blog where people could talk about football in a somewhat civil and intelligent manner and not be consumed in moronic , childish , stereotypical dross wrote on every other club footie blog the world over

It's because when the big clubs are involved you end up with a lot of glory hunters who feel they must
      a) Defend their team/players to the death in spite of all logical evidence to the contrary
      b) Deride the opposition as cheats and 'plastic fans' in an intensely hypocritical manner.

      Always leads to this 'fun'.

    WOW, what a gameweek.
Ashley Young came good, nani was a decent captains choice, Rooney did the biz, but cards for Vidic, and a barton no show.

"He's done Chicarito before he got booked, and he did Rooney two minutes before the penalty was awarded, I don't know how he was still on the pitch. Probably not the time to mention it (and by that I mean it's exactly the right time to mention it) but I think MFaulkner may have been onto something with his chat about Hernandez contributing nothing other than his goals.

i wouldnt go as far as saying he "rinsed" vidic and smalling. OK granted he wasn't BAD today...saying that he did nothing in the first half at all, better in the 2nd.

AND i'm not saying he's rubbish just gotta look at his history...he's world class no doubt...but so far a non-event for chelski.

Sounds like sour grapes from MFaulkner to me. I've been really impressed with him whenever I've watched him this season - looks a constant threat in behind.

There aren't many strikers that have the work rate of Rooney, but Hernandez still closes defenders down (far more than Torres for example).

I've just realised that I've taken the bait and I'm not even a United fan lol 😀

I'm not fishing, and I'm not actually criticising too much because I like Hernandez a lot. Just certain Utd fans got typically defensive when MFaulk made his point, when it seems as though he was making a lot of sense.

The penalty was soft, but should have been given.

BBC Radio 5 live are reporting that Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini might be out for the rest of the season. That would compound their misery on a difficult night for the Toffees.

Nah, it was two yellows so there is absolutely no chance of it being rescinded.

That and there can be absolutely no arguments about the two bookings, he probably should have gone a minute before he actually did too.

no. it was 2 yellows. the first was the most stone wall yellow possible and the second was a bit tame but if you get turned any contact is a yellow, that's just the way it is.

this could get messy, db i think you need to stop throwing fuel on the fire we understand your point. as a neutral i'm delighted things are a bit more open now and that carlo's left eye brow is now back in randomly raised happy position. that eyebrow has better movement than malouda lately

Having "issues" by that you mean opinions and views right? Fair enough I do. Il agree to that am i willing to talk or debate with anyone with them
Your really comparing this to what went on tonight and other nights where the topic isnt important at all and no points are made just conspiracy theories.

TBH- any comments I said were just due to the amount of times people on here complain that United buy refs.

I might just buy him in for Vidic (1 game ban but money can be spent elsewhere).

BTW - well done on your H2H win over me. I think you'll go 6 points clear at the top. Almost Man Unitedesque.
