The Members’ Area has now been updated with the OPTA data from all today’s games so far. Our Members can therefore get on with picking apart what, to this point, has been a most disappointing day for the majority – epitomised by Arsenal’s inability to break down Sunderland at the Emirates.

From a cursory glance at the stats so far, Members should look under “Distribution & Influence” for another dominant performance from West Ham’s Scott Parker, with Mark Noble and Thomas Hitzlesperger not far behind. Damien Duff’s two goals were also coupled with an impressive array of stats – while Mikel Arteta appears to show a clear improvement on recent showings. Indeed, looking at the team stats, West Ham and Everton appear to be the day’s big performers – an encouraging sign ahead of the Toffee’s second fixture with Birmingham on Wednesday.

Further stats will be uploaded following the Man City vs Wigan clash.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

with Nani, Berbatov, Lampard, Coleman, Foster, Zigic to play

Slighly worried. Rival has gained 30-40 points on me for the pass 2 weeks. Lead is down to 80 from 126

Torres is just economical with his movement, not lazy. He conserves his energy for when it really matters, i.e. in the final third. For me, forwards tracking back and tackling in the full back areas, as a Rooney or a Tevez may do, is a complete waste of time and effort.

Anyhoo, we are talking about fantasy here, aren't we? So why does the fact that Torres doesn't run around like a headless chicken make him a bad FPL option?
