As Premier League managers look to patch up their squads, greedily jumping on any niggles to keep their star assets out of the international firing line, the task for Fantasy Managers never lets up. Every morsel of news must be filtered and hovered up in earnest with today’s snippet round-up offering the latest murmurings on the Tevez injury, a fresh tweet from Cesc Fabregas and Wenger’s mission to sharpen up Jens Lehman…

Carlos Tevez is reportedly “in a race against time” to be fit for Man City’s gameweek 31 fixture with Sunderland at Eastlands. According to the latest reports the Argentine has suffered “a 2mm tear an adductor muscle” – an injury that saw him preserved as City took on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. The report suggests that had Tevez played, he risked injury that would have ruled him out for the rest of the season. The loss of Tevez was of course a major blow as Roberto Mancini’s side slipped to a damaging 2-0 defeat.

Mancini will want his skipper back as soon as possible but will surely have one eye on the FA Cup semi-final with United on April 16. His Fantasy owners will now be concerned that, if Tevez carries a risk going into the Sunderland game, he could be kept out of the action again as Mancini looks to keep him fit for a match that will ultimately decide whether City come away with silverware this season.

James Collins will skipper Wales against England on Saturday. That’s significant news for Fantasy Managers because his return to fitness from a calf problem will now surely bolster Villa’s defence as they look to curb an alarming slide into the relegation mire. Most significantly, it boosts the appeal of budget Fantasy option, Kyle Walker. Walker has been outstanding for Villa since his arrival at the club but has had his defensive potential cut by a string of injuries to team-mates. Walker needs the likes of Collins to return in order to up his returns over what remains a favourable run-in for Gerard Houllier’s side.

Collins was recently fined by the club, along with fellow defensive stalwart Richard Dunne, following drinking sessions on a “club bonding trip”. The pair of centre-backs have not played together since last month with Dunne is still recovering from a dislocated shoulder. The Irishman was ruled out for “three-to-four weeks” on March 4 and must therefore also be in with a chance of a return in gameweek 31 when Villa take the trip to Goodison.

Cesc Fabregas has informed the world that he is back in training following his latest hamstring prang. Fabregas spread the news via the medium of twitter yesterday…

“I started running today for the first time so I’m very happy to be back outside.”

It is now reported that the Arsenal skipper could be back in contention for the gameweek 31 clash with Blackburn at the Emirates, a potentially profitable match-up for the Spaniard in Fantasy terms. Arsene Wenger will not want to take any risks with Fabregas however, and may yet protect him for that match, with a gameweek 33 double fixture with Liverpool and Spurs on the horizon.

If fit, Fabregas will surely be on the mind of Fantasy Managers for that double, although with Chelsea and Frank Lampard also experiencing two fixtures in gameweek 33, funds may well be stretched. The majority of Fantasy squads will surely lineup with Lampard and Robin Van Persie for that gameweek, with one of Andrey Arshavin or Samir Nasri also in the midfield.

Jens Lehman could well be in the Arsenal goal for that gameweek 33 double header. The German is widely tipped to be handed a chance following his much-publicised return to the club and Manuel Almunia’s latest caper in the 2-2 draw with West Brom at the weekend.

Aresene Wenger refused to confirm or deny that Lehman was in his plans for the home clash with Blackburn up next, but confirmed that the German stopper was still someway short of the sharpness levels required…

“He (Lehmann) looks like a guy who’s not been involved for a long time but has kept his body fit. He has the basic physical fitness but he lacks a little bit of decision-making and practice in goal…Would I consider starting him? I’m not going to get into that now, we now have two weeks.”

They Daily Mail reports that Wenger is desperate for Lehman to see reserve action to help him get up to speed and join Arsenal’s title tilt. However, Wenger’s reserves do not play again until next Tuesday at Wigan; that may not be enough preparation to see Lehman in the frame for the visit of Blackburn.

Wojciech Szczesny is currently sidelined at least until May with the tendon damage suffered in the Nou Camp so, if Almunia’s woes continue, Lehman could certainly see action – he is available for just 4.5 in the Fantasy Premier League game.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

So it would take me 6 transfers to get somewhere near the team I want for GW 33..

    Rafael>Walker
    Djourou>Smalling
    VDV>Bale
    Nasri>Walcott
    Merieles>Lampard
    Tevez>RVP

Got 2 free this week so will prob do 3 of them this week for a 4 point hit then another 4 point hit to do 2 the week after then use my last freebie just before GW 33 to get lamps in I reckon.

Struggling to figure out which order but all depends on injuries I suppose.

If tevez is out for the next game then it will be Rafael, Djourou and Tevez out for Walker, Smalling and RVP.

Then VDV to Bale and Nasri to Walcott (If hes fit by then)

    Then lastly merieles to Lampard.

I would say having fabs for gw 33 is good as long as you don't have him in your team before then.

Also their may be better cheap options than welbeck who is currently injured. Have you thought about Sturridge or Carroll.

Also you do have nani currently don't you. I wouldn't want to get rid of him for the dgw.

If RVP gets injured and you have injury doubts hanging over VDV all the time, together with "not afraid of an injury" candidates Walcott and Fabregas, who do you have on the bench?

I don't like Fabs and Lampard in one team, I think Walcott and RVP are plenty Arsenal coverage, and I would also be reluctant to have 3 particularly injury prone players in one team (VDV/RVP and Fabregas), which all points to Fabregas OUT, plus Fabregas has not shown the same form, and I don't think is worth the cash, at least RVP/VDV/Lampard and Adam are all set piece hoggers and demand selection.

            Defence and Keeper is peachy.

yeah i guess that is highly risky with the amount of glass players I have there.

Maybe a transfer of Hangeland>Ashley Cole or Al-Habsi>Cech would be a better idea? Leaving out the Fabs transfer and keeping hold of Downing

well I have the same issue with keepers, you have Foster for GW33 so it seems a bit of a waste to have Cech in aswell, albeit that he has the better shot at clean sheets, but that being said Foster has been golden for save points this year and with 8 points in the last 2 all down to save points I don't see that changing.

Doubling up on Chelsea defence could be a good thing though, it certainly has crossed my mind, but Cole and Luiz is too much I think so it may involve benching Foster and playing Cech if you decide to go that way, I would leave your defence as is though.

then my best choice would be to grab another arsenal midfielder IMO - I can afford Nasri/fabs/Walcott or two of them if need be. Not as easier road to GW33 as I thought! thanks

Soop you lazy so and so, a quick scan of Fifa.com would reveal all and would be quicker than posting here and waiting 1 minute for a response.

      go on GRAVATAR.COM

Sign up on there using the same email address that you use here.

Then assign an avatar on gravatar.com by selecting an image from the internet or maybe from your documents. And then click on the "g" rating for that image. And then once the image is uploaded on gravatar.com you can crop it. Once you've done that press confirm.

Then wait 5 or 10 minutes and it should update here

    CRICKET:

pretty much that. there's 6 results to predict, as long as you get about 3 of them right you should be fine. get more right and you'll have more luxury transfers
