After our recent review of Player Manager, we’ve linked up with the organisers of the game to bring you an exclusive tournament offering something new to light up your season run-in. Perfect for the Fantasy Premier League Manager who has perhaps given up on his mini-league chase, the Scout Player Manager League offers £400 in prize funds. Interested? Thought you might be.

The League will start this weekend (gameweek 31) and will run until the end of the season. The league placings will be calculated using the best score from all your solo games each gameweek (friends leagues don’t count) and the best 4 of these determines your position on the leaderboard. With 8 gameweeks to go, you have plenty of opportunity to rack up 4 decent scores and, with best 4 of 8, it matters less if you have a missed or bad-scoring week. You can of course also enter as many teams as you like over these gameweeks, with teams costing 10 credits (£1) for entry.

Player Manager are giving away £400 of credits to the top four in the league with £200 going to the winner and £100, £60 and £40 going to the next 3 places (payout positions will be combined in the event of any ties). These credits can be withdrawn or left in the kitty for next season of course.

Those who wish to enter the Scout League for this tournament can do so by emailing “In” to this address scout@playermanager.com. Make sure you send it from the address you’ll be using at Player Manager. Scores will only count after you send the email. Sadly, Player Manager and therefore this tournament, remains available only to players in the UK and ROI. The game and league is also limited to those aged 18 and over.

In Player Manager, you create a “shopping list” of players and set a maximum bid for each. The players are then automatically auctioned in each league you enter. There’s no need for you to do the bidding; like eBay, your maximum bid determines whether you get the player and at what price.

You might want to take in our recent Preview and Review of the game for more background information, while Player Manager’s own FAQ section tells you all you need to know about playing the game. The game’s creator, Jason Bryant (Scout username “djembe”) is also on-hand to answer any of your questions – so feel free to fire away!

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

OK, I'm officially gearing up to go into these doubles with only 4 double gameweek players. They will be:

Foster, Luiz, Lampard and Van Persie.

Personally, I think that this should be enough - they're not an especially strong batch of doubles as far as good fantasy players in form go.

The Chelsea double is pretty awesome, I'll probably have one more Chelsea DEF as well as those 4

Quick question: Berbatov to Suárez for a 4 point hit later this/next GW?

I don't like taking points hits on fit players, but my transfers are planned for the next few weeks and Berbatov's lack of game time has made him a real liability. Price changes are a factor in the timing of the decision - and Suárez may still have a groin strain.

    Any thoughts?

i thought that too but arsenal's def not great and suarez seems to be on form so i might just take the gamble plus it will free up funds for lampard

What is all this Arsenal's defence isn't great talk!? Look at the goals against. I know Djourou is injured but Song and Fabregas will be back and they make a lot of difference.

i would do that 4 point hit if i had berbatov, i'm thinking of taking a 4pt hit for suarez and getting rid of tevez, will wait and see if suarez plays 2nite in friendly against ireland but if he does i'm doin it

Thanks - Suárez is definitely not playing in the friendly against Ireland, by the way.

So far, one vote each way on whether I should bring him in...

Taxi for Baros! We’ve all done that - Where did it go?!

The link for the Ribery vid has been blocked now – I wonder if it was anything to do with how they linked it?! (See number 2) Ouch...

I haven’t the link to hand but I am sure it would have been posted recently, Zizou still showing he has the skills ‘doing’ the keeper three times in as many seconds. Genius.
