While we sit back and wait to see if Robin Van Persie can reward the faith of thousands of Fantasy Premier League armbands, our Members can start picking the statistical bones out of the games so far. The OPTA data for teams and players has been updated and Members can now use the Gameweek filter to view all the data.

My rudimentary glance reveals that, apart form the obvious glittering display from Wayne Rooney (more on that in the Knee Jerk), our Members should take note of the numbers produced by Antonio Valencia, Matt Etherington, Joey Barton, Leon Osman and Leighton Baines – they could be leading contenders for Fantasy Premier League Bonus with strong attacking contributions. Defensively meanwhile, standout showings include David Wheater, Chris Smalling, Kyle Walker, Phil Jagielka and Roger Johnson.

        Maybe Cech for BPs after his two finger-tip saves onto the bar. Lamps had a good game but that won't translate into BPs. I wasn't paying attention to Stoke players, as I'm a Chelski, so maybe:

    Strange day today.

    The 'better' players in my team [Nani, Vidic, VDV, RVP(c) & Walcott] so far have a total of 10 points.

    The players I wasn't expecting much from [Al-Habsi, R.Johnson, Baines, A.Young & Bent] so far have a total of 34 points.

    Arsenal were crap today - and I captained Van Persie - gutted. On a more positive not I have pulled the trigger on the final WC what you guys think, have I missed anyone?

      Luiz was crap today. Watch him get skinned on the half-way line by Walters for the Stoke goal on MOTD. I think he's purely a Home Boy selection if you have him in your squad.

        -1. He was not great today and not fully at fault on the Sto goal (Walters made fun of him on his own half and Essien was to blame). Luiz is a must at 6.3 and was as good as the likes of terry and cole today

    Terrible week, potential loss in H2H again, why do I pick inconsistent players? On paper I should be flying this league of 13, instead I'll end up with a mid table finish.

    What is wrong with this Captain poll, I would say is captain fail. Tevez, Rooney, RVP 3 in a row. I am considering changing my strategy, maybe Adam as captain all the time, with him u r always on 5pts. And also I consider to captain more away players, cause at home, the strikers with weak opponents were fail most of the time.

    Come on, give suggestions what to do with captains I am really nervous with this captains failing all the time!!!!

      It does seem like a theme Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Spurs and Liverpool are in bad form as a whole so captaining any of their players seems to be failing.

      Adam as you say seems like a solid source of regular points.

          Arsenal have scored 3 goals (1 an own goal) in their last 5 matches, these games included wba, SUN & BLA, RVP has scored 1 of those 2 goals.
