Stop! Der Hammer Time(*).

As the dawn of another gameweek is upon it’s up to the Hammers and Manchester United to wake us up from our Internationally enforced slumber and the last minute tinkerers of the Saturday Surgery hand the reins over to the Dugout Discussion.

News from the Boleyn Ground is that the traveling side have decided to rest Edwin Van Der Sar with Thomas Kuszczak coming in while Nani (frustrating? Yes. But seeing as nigh on ‘everyone’ has him not quite so painful across the fantasy-sphere) takes a seat on the pine with Park filling his spot. Fabio also nabs the right-back berth, Vidic returns and Hernandez drops out for Gibson as Fergie favours the 451/433. The home team meanwhile see no need to change their side from that which drew at Spurs last gameweek. Teams in full are…

West Ham XI:Green; Jacobsen, Da Costa, Upson, Bridge; Parker, Hitzlsperger, Noble; O’Neil, Cole, Ba.

United XI: Kuszczak; Fabio, Smalling, Vidic, Evra; Gibson, Carrick, Giggs; Valencia, Rooney, Park.

After we’ve said our ta-ta’s to the aforementioned fixture we’ll head through the six three o’clock fixtures with Redknapp’s team of choice against Wigan of interest with Liverpool and Chelsea also visiting West Brom and Stoke respectively. Arsenal playing host to Blackburn -perhaps the most key fixture of the day- will close out Saturday for us with the evening kick-off.

The Dugout Discussion will be open through all this action up until the final whistle blows.

(*)dues finally paid as promised.

Awful start to the day. No VDS, Nani on for 1 f'in point, while my main rival forgot to change is team and had to 'make do' with Rooney staying as his captain.

Definitely, so much energy. That's why I think at the minute he's a much better player coming off the bench. SAF obviosuly got it wrong from the start. It was a gamble with Wednesdays game in mind. He knows he can do it because United always have a plan B, it was no different to the Blackpool game.

He also HAD to get people like Park and Valencia fit...I just didn't think he would do it all at once. I also like their power 4-3-3, they look to do Chelsea better than them at the moment...it wore West Ham out.

I agree, but he definitely doesn't look as comfortable in the midfield as Berbs or Wayne. He just ends up being the guy so wide open that they can't not pass it to him in the final 1/3.

let it die. upson's was very harsh but who's to say man utd wouldn't have won anyway. also vidic's incident the ball was a bit close to the keeper so i reckon the refs rightly had doubts there. extremely fortunate for vidic but possibly the right call.

Surely it's understandable (if foolish) that after the year he's had, the stick he's got (justifiable or not) and the game that was in it, that emotion fuelled the outburst. Not really that big of a deal.
