The second day of a Gameweek that stretches across three, presents us with a double-bill of meaningful Premier League fixtures. First up we’re at Bloomfield Road to see if Arsenal can keep up the pace with league leaders against a plucky Blackpool side. The hosts are in the middle of an intriguing relegation battle, and will be desperate to build some confidence at home as they begin a four-game home stint. The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open for business, where you can follow the action as it happens.

The team news is in and here is how they line-up…

Blackpool XI: Kingson, Baptiste, Evatt, Cathcart, Crainey, Adam, Southern, Taylor-Fletcher, Puncheon, Campbell, Varney

Arsenal XI: Lehmann, Eboue, Squillaci, Koscielny, Clichy, Diaby, Fabregas, Wilshere, Nasri, van Persie, Arshavin

The Seasiders welcome back their star striker DJ Campbell from suspension, who will be raring to go having missed the last three. The only deviation from the eleven we expected is that Keith Southern starts at the expense of Elliot Grandin.

As for the visitors, Arsene Wegner opts to leave Theo Walcott on the bench despite the damage he inflicted on Blackpool at the Emirates. Bacary Sagna isn’t passed fit so Emmanuel Eboue starts at right-back, and a late injury in the warm-up for Manuel Almunia sees Jens Lehmann come in. What a story.

Following that game, Aston Villa are also seeking survival (and revenge for the reverse fixture this season) against their opponents today . Newcastle United are so close to that widely-regarded safety-mark of 40 points, so we should expect both sides to be going for the points.

Once again, the Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and available by clicking here.

might go for ultimate flair this dgw and go for cleverley instead of lamps. less than a third of the price, just the one fixture and playing for the team bottom of the table.

n'zogbia is tempting. average position maps show he's basically a striker. not sure, it's only for 1 gw so it may make more sense to get malouda. either way i think etherington/duff/dempsey/petrov/jarvis are coming in the gw after

    malouda in for bentley
    welbeck in for defoe

    spurs out blues in!

    team for next week:

    mignolet (al habsi)
    coleman/luiz/rjohnson (walker/kolarov)
    nani/malouda/vdv/nasri (young)
    welbeck/rvp/torres

look about right? thinking vdv might cause some trouble for arsenal, whereas west ham's home form has been good so benching young.

Downing was good today I thought, can't complain too much with those BPs as a Young owner, he was in and out of the game too much, played very deep at times and made some important clearances and tackles so he was less likely to catch the attention of the BP judges.

72 with Suarez to play (4 point hit though). 9th green arrow in the row. I was not worth it being at 1.000.000 for most of the season. I am not for top 50,000 as well but 100,000 to 200,000 is achievable if I try harder.

    Evening all.

Long story short, I'm getting rid of VDV and Cahill - one this week, one next week. Which one is the priority? Cahill has a far better fixture but is a doubt. Can't wait for more news due to scary price rises.

One week only; VDV (ARS) or Cahill, maybe (BLA)?

thing is though, its important to note- its pathetic how people root for golfers, playing the naitonal card. Its all this money making bullshit, it menas nothing. Its an individual sport, and theyre in it for the cash. They dont even wear their country colours. It makes me sick,. I hate them all, absolutely despise them. I hope they all die one day in a hge pro golfer-centric lightening storm. Bastards.

At least in snooker you have personalities, and they dont play the national card really. In golf, you have a fat c.unt called macdowell that cant stop tlaing about himself with his stupid acent, and fat face, and ooh, i hope he gets run over.

not their fault the prize money is silly imo. i'm sure they'd still play if the money was minimal. i root for the english players because they've struggled so much in majors over the past 20 years. same as the british players, then to a lesser extent the european players. basically anyone but the americans 😉

    Think hard on this lads,...

Whats the WORST feeling in this game?

Me, I think i've realised what THE worst thing in this game is, but im not sure others will agree.

In a nutshell- Chasing a rival a good bit ahead, and making points up on them, only to see a huge point score come off the bench jammmily for them, when the same player is on your bench, and not coming off it.

WHen you put all three of them togehther, i think that really trumps all to be honest. Beats captain 1 pointers, offside goals, assists not given etc. IF FPL were life, this aforementioned shitstorm really is the 'advanced late stage Fullblown aids' of FPL.

Just have to hope rooney does ntohig for him next wek, and lampard goes nuts.something tells me it jsut aint gonna happen for me this season
