Charlie Adam is at the centre of an injury scare which could decimate Blackpool‘s survival hopes and dent the end of season fortunes of many Fantasy Managers.

The PFA Player of the Year nominee suffered a knock to his foot against Wigan on Saturday and, although Adam completed the 90 minutes, his foot has swollen badly and he is set to undergo an x-ray to determine the full extent of the problem. Although not considered to be a serious setback, Adam is currently wearing a cast and scan results will reveal whether he will be forced to sit out the impending clash with Newcastle and the matches that follow.

The last few weeks have seen Adam prove a hugely popular option for Fantasy Managers. Blackpool have had run of fixtures which included four consecutive home encounters and, even after the weekend defeat to Wigan, their schedule remains favourable enough to boost Adam’s potential (NEW STK tot BOL mun). The Blackpool skipper has earned over 150,000 investors in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game since gameweek 30.

Even before the recent surge in popularity, Adam has been a stand-out performer and a staple for many Fantasy Managers. An FPL points total of 160 is clear evidence of an outstanding first season in the Premier League and, with an ownership of 36.7% in the FPL, there will be thousands anxious to hear updates from Bloomfield Road in the next 48-hours.

We will keep you posted via the Tweets and team news as always.

johnfinlay John swears he'll deliver unbiased Fantasy Premier League tips and news...until Leeds get promoted.

Carroll was the only one who caused a problem at OT and that finished 3-0. I'm going for 2-0.

this is driving me crazy because the impact players to bring in pretty much require me to get rid or bench an impact player. I know its not sexy, but I have to get a keeper, and right now my best 3rd defender option is djourou away to bolton.

Bad luck for torres owners. Ancelotti was asked in the press conference whether lampard and drogba will continue to play until the end of the season, and he said “yes”

This coincides with the mirror story :
Carlo Ancelotti today insisted Fernando Torres will break his Chelsea duck soon – although he is poised to stay on the bench against Birmingham tomorrow.

Back in the game Brother Johnson? Something tells me if someone came on here and said they were quiting the game you would be on here levelling all sorts of abuse at them for talking nonsense.

I feel your pain though, I was 70 odd points off a rival last season and everything he did turned to gold and everything I did went tits up, spent countless hits on the wrong moves then to catch up which killed my overall ranking too.

                Is it for money?

Just seen this news about Adam.

Its good cos it means I can get rid now. Prob go for Etherington now then. Or Walters.

    That solves a problem then.

Rooney for a goal or two tonight, probably a goal and an assist and 3 BP's, would take that, a nice round 12.

I love it when my strikers get 12 points - means it's been a good all-round performance.

That's the 3rd 1-3 prediction on this page - think I'll go for 1-3 Rooney AGS, and also over 2.5 (or maybe 3.5) goals.

United should absolutely have to pay for that:

    http://www.teamtalk.com/manchester-united/6884208/United-escape-action-from-FA

Don't care how small a deal it is, it is still needless damage, fair enough if it was Balotelli's head, no complaints there. Seriously though, This says that United didn't react well to the defeat, it seems to me that whatever happened between Balotelli/Ando and Rio would have happened if United had won too

Just can't bring myself to do Walcott to Walters or Ethers for a 4 pointer. Arenal are on half bad away/ Bolton's heads may have dropped. Walcott could have a great game. I'm normally a point spending fiend, but I just don't like this one. Got Huth, O'shea and Zamora already, that's prob enough. Right?

    Bego (Cech)
    Luiz Baines Kolarov Walker
    Barton Nani Malouda Young
    RVP Rooney
    (Adam Carr Zigic)

    A.Zigic>Sturridge (bench Walker)

It's times like this that these boards almost becomes a detriment rather than an asset. There are so many different alternatives to pick from for midfield alone that all the different opinions add to the confusion. I was set on Walters or O'Hara for Nasri but now I dunno.
I think I'll just have a good look at the stats in the Members Area and let that influence my decision.

Totally agree, gauranteed for Walters to be in the Scouting the Differentials "punt" picks, which will again force me (I am fickle) to look at him. This week I am doing the same thing and making a decision myself on it.

For me, Etherington is the safest bet.

This is true to some degree. However there is a large element of luck.

For example both Sturridge and Zamora represent good transfers in for this week, but its likely only one will do well, which is where luck comes in.

hey dribbler, had to work, unfortunate I couldnt respond in due time to your heartfelt response earlier. You are right. i should know better than to ask silly questions about fantasy football on a fantasy football message board. Like yesterday when I asked a dumb question about thoughts on mignolets spot, only for a tweet about bruce turning to gordon coming out later in the day. just shows how irrelevant my questions are. or asking people's thoughts on Lee, which i felt was a little more adventurous than all the Zamora/Dempsey/Sturridge etc etc transfers that have flooded the boards. Or if they had nasri and adam, which would they get rid. These are ridiculous talking points that have no business in this forum. And I understand how you cant control yourself to read what i write and respond to it. You apparently recognize me enough to know I annoy you and ask too many questions yet seeing my name attached to a post isnt enough for you to just move on. I must show responsibility and accountability for the power I have over you. Lesson learned. Forever forward.

so switching gears, whos a good keeper?

what do you think of the cheap defensive options at pool at the moment ATB? Any of them look good for the run in or are they just very temporary fill-ins, not worth the transfer?

Depends on your side and what you need to do. In my case I need to take risks on players that can deliver good returns so I'm not that pushed about cheap defenders. Besides I think Liverpool only really have two good chances of clean sheets left.
The reason I suggested Reina is that he rotates perfectly with Howard (my other keeper)

Fantasy forum = fantasy questions. Personally I think it's good to post a question more than once as you get different opinions depending who is online. So I don't think there is any harm in it. It's a forum for fantasy managers after all
