The Blue half of Manchester will still be recovering from the inevitable celebrations which followed their historic FA Cup semi final triumph over old nemesis United. City were victorious in a 1-0 victory at Wembley that saw tempers flair and plenty of passion injected back into a competition which has arguably been on the decline in recent years.

With a final against Stoke City now lined up, it seems that some of the millions invested in club are starting to pay off. But a place in the top 4, which will book them a ticket to next season’s Champions League, is certainly more important. Currently sitting in 4th spot in with Tottenham nibbling at their tails, City’s remaining 6 games are crucial (bla WHM eve & TOT STK bol). But, on paper, they are very favourable with a visit of Harry Redknapp’s men the most weighty of those clashes.

Without Carlos Tevez to pick up the pieces, as he has done on so many occasion this term, City will be relying on the others to cement their European place. FA Cup semi final goal scorer and new City hero Yaya Toure could be just the knight in sky blue armour. He also offers plenty for Fantasy Managers to consider…

Manchester City boast a squad where the likes of Adam Johnson, James Milner and Edin Dzeko, regularly find themselves benched, but Yaya Toure is one of only a few exceptions to the rotation policy at Eastland as he has only missed 3 Premier League games this season. In Fantasy terms he offers plenty of potential, with a budget price of just 5.6 on the FPL game.

Yaya is currently City’s top FPL points scorer in midfield, with 123 points which includes 5 goals, 6 assists and 13 bonus points. In the Manchester derby he played a more prominent midfield role to compensate for the lack of the aforementioned Argentine and in this attacking position, against forthcoming winnable opposition, you would expect Yaya to add to his tally.

Whilst you’re pondering Yaya, it is also worth considering Adam Johnson. The winger has recently come back into the fold and his creativity and invention will be paramount without Tevez. The youngster has proven his worth in a season riddled with injury and picked up 84 points, with just 11 starts and 15 substitute appearances – 4 goals, 5 assists and 9 bonus points.

There’s nothing much between Johnson and Yaya; they hold the same valuation and both are likely to be very important over the coming Gameweeks against relatively uncomplicated opposition. The main dilemma would be form though – something which the Ivorian certainly holds more of.

johnfinlay John swears he'll deliver unbiased Fantasy Premier League tips and news...until Leeds get promoted.

            1. If he's got all of them double GW players, I am slightly jealous. Regardless of points hit etc.

            2. He hasn't.

            3. I'm still jealous.

I am barely going to have 2 because I am so ill prepared. Shame really. Tough choice who, if any...

              Ive got Huth, O'Hara, Begovic.

Thinking about a 4 pointer and getting in Sturridge and Dempsey. I would have got Etherington but I dont like the thought of 3 stokies.

I am going to get another in. For sure.

I could easily get Sturridge, but Bolton's double does not appeal to me, and it would give me a selection headache.

Might get rid of Torres still, so If I do do that, then Sturridge may be an option. That way I can still stick Vela on the bench.

A shorter version of what I said basically. Conclusive evidence that you should get rid of one or two or three of them. If you have two freebies, defo go for getting rid of two.

Hmmmm. Its a nice team. Perhaps get rid of Baines ?? Bring in Huth/Hangeland, that gives you one, then if Adam is injured just swap him out for possibly Dempsey if you can afford him, if not one of Etherington/Walters/O'Hara/etc.

But if Adam is not out, I would advise getting rid of Nasri, bar a brace tonight of course, if so that could be an indicate that he is coming back into form.

Just my suggestions. Hope they help.

Lol, I have only looked at Baines fixture this week (mnu) which is possibly the worst imaginable in FPL, so getting rid for a doubler as a freebie (to me) seems logical.

Its not the exams MMW, its the thousand post'it notes stuck around my room, I am getting hypnotised. Anyways, I am off for a bit of relief, rugby :), laterz dingbat.

Adam or Theo out for Dempsey? I'm favouring Adam due to form and fitness. Any ideas?

Adam out. Blackpool in freefall and he's playing poorly. Holloway's comment after the last game was telling. Wouldn't be shocked to see him dropped.

I don't think he will be dropped, but wouldn't be surprised if he was and I think there's a risk. Be careful with Dempsey tho. Got a lot of his points when Fulham had no strikers.

Hmm my rival appears to have cost himself 8 points.
    Did he spend them well?

Rooney, nani, zigic --> Dempsey, zamora, odemwingie.

    Whats your prognosis

I've done some number crunching. It works out. Hes also placed zamora and dempsey in before value changes. Hes def taken these 3 players out. has put a min of 2 of these 3 players in.

So did he make good subs or not?

I reckon nani will get dropped this week. not so sure about rooney been as hes already had a 3 month break this season.

Just happy i was right about nani not getting dropped this last week. I'm a point better off 🙂

Its called maths mate. Not to sound condescending but numbers don't lie.

AGAIN has he made good subs. I don't care whether u trust my analysis or not. I'd like a reasonable opinion. Dissimilar from those saying nani was going to get dropped
