The ScoutCast half century arrives – leaving us just 245 episodes behind the adventures of Foggy, Compo and Clegg. I’m not sure we’ll get there but Mark seems hell-bent.

Fifty episodes down the line and little has changed. Are we are more polished broadcasting duo? Doubtful. The back-biting and banter remains and appears more pointed than normal as we reach the season climax. Seventy points ahead when this podcast was recorded, my lead has since been dented by Rafael Van der Vaart’s brace and Samir Nasri’s similar revival from Fantasy slumber. Bullish from last night’s returns, Mark has been gleefully informing me that I’m “in trouble” all day. I’m not convinced.

Indeed, you can sense my confidence throughout this pre-North London derby recording, an episode that includes all the usual regular ingredients, spiced up by the definition of a new Fantasy term. I spent about 7 minutes and 31 seconds of the podcast explaining to Mark exactly what an “Undifferential” was; I still don’t think it sunk in. Have a listen yourselves – I’m pretty sure Mark is just on the blink.

      For me:

Dempsey: Guaranteed at least 4 points

Drogba: Biggest upside lowest lowside w/ possibility of being benched.

Van Persie: His form has him spitting hot fire against a questionable defense.

Rooney: Who I'm probably going with right now. Others have better form/fixtures but just a feeling...

May as well throw this in from the last post. I know none of you will want to miss out answering, is all.

Quick question. Who would you rather have this week:

    A) Dempsey and Adam

    B) Etherington and Nasri

    Cleverley Lampard Nani Walcott Downing
    RVP Odemwingie Bent

Only 1 free transfer but 3.1m in the bank and I don't mind taking hits

Good stuff give this a listen whilst been the house wife tomorrow!

Right lads I'm currently sat 11 points behind my rival with only begovic as a dgw player. Rival has 4 dgw players schwazer, Baird, huth and Sturridge. Do I sit tight and slowly draft TOT and MCY players in for their dgw to counter what he has now as I was speaking to him today and I know he hasn't planned (doesn't know about it) or do I transfer a dgw player in now and take a hit or 2?

Team is linked if you have suggestions.
    Much appreciation

with vaughan back and newcastle being safe from relegation it might not be a bad punt... blackpool will be pumped up for this one.. it's their last chance.

This weeks captain choice will be tough. For me it's between RvP, Drogba and Rooney.

Rooney - 8/11 anytime scorer. Is on form and UTD need a win from this one to get back on track. Could boil over against his old team and has never(?) scored against Everton.

Drogba - 4/7 anytime scorer. Has bossed the last couple games and seems to be picking up some of that early season form. Scored 2 against WHam last spring. Could get rested with Torres and Anelka coming back into the side.

RvP - evens anytime scorer. Great form and takes everything for Arsenal. Will probably have the most scoring chances out of all three. Arsenal look a bit shaky and Bolton could put up a fight. Arsenal has scored 11 goals in the last 4 games against Bolton.

Rooney has scored against Everton. Did so in that game where they came from 2-0 down to win 4-2 at Goodison.

Has a habit of going AWOL against his old club though. Normally throws a tantrum and gets booked.

I'm not buying all this resting stuff either. I just put it there because it's a possibility. I think it would be stupid by Carlo to bench his best player, but I think he could rotate wide players eg. Kalou.

So not considering C one of the DGWers? If i had Zamora I would captain him.

My H2H opponent has a strikeforce of RVP DROG ROON. Very fearsome. 3pts needed badly.

Out of them lot I would captain Drogba. I doubt that he will be rested with his current form. Chelsea are still challenging for the title

I don't really have any DGW player worth giving the armband. O'Hara, Huth, Bego and possibly Hangeland aren't really captain material 😛 I would only consider to captain Etherington out of all that's out there this week though.. even Zamora at a stretch

Ethers has 11 points in the last 5 games.

RVP and Drogs are always a good chance for at least 1 goal...I think they should all be pretty close around 8 points.

i usually dont listen to the FFS podcasts, but i gave it a try today and listened to the first 20 minutes where you and Mark seem to not be really sure about nanis starting chances. that seems convincing enough to me. I am going to use my free transfer to do zigic>sturridge and play adam over nani. (I was initially going to play adam as well as nani and save a tranfer.)
i am keeping nani on my bench for this week because the rest of my subs are crocked. will sell next week though - for yaya.

Any news on Bale’s fitness? My current front eight:
    Adam, Young, Bale, Lampard, Fabregas
    Welbeck, RVP, Bent

Everone has pretty good fixture, but I’d like to get some DGW players. Im thinking to do:
    Welbeck -> Zamora
    and
Bale(if not fit) or Fabregas -> Etherington

What do you guys say about these transfers?
