The last midweek Dugout Discussion of the season sees a repeat of the enthralling FA Cup Final between Manchester City and Stoke City. There’s no silverware at stake tonight, but for Man City there is the genuine incentive of leap-frogging Arsenal into third, with automatic Champions League qualification the reward for sitting there come Sunday evening.

Although not a televised game, the Dugout Discussion is open for business and serves to house your reactions as the news comes in. The first news in are those all-important line-ups…

Man City XI: Hart, Richards, Kompany, Lescott, Zabaleta, Milner, De Jong, Silva, Yaya Toure, Adam Johnson, Tevez.

Stoke XI: Sorensen, Wilkinson, Collins, Shawcross, Wilson, Pugh, Diao, Whelan, Whitehead, Walters, Carew.

Roberto Mancini names David Silva and Carlos Tevez amongst his first eleven, with the former playing despite being tagged a major injury doubt. Aleksander Kolarov misses out again, to the annoyance of those still unfortunate to own him.

Stoke also make a host of changes, with popular fantasy players Asmir Begovic, Robert Huth and Matthew Etherington all sidelined for one reason or another. Elsewhere, John Carew earns a rare start at the expence of Kenwyn Jones.

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

so then, is anyone not going to have tevez and berbatov in their starting XI this Sunday as they fight it out for golden boot?

possibly the last time both players will appear in their respective shirts too...

2 nite has thrown a bit of a curveball. I can do Rooney–>Berba for a free. if i want tevez i have to take a hit and take out yaya or silva as well. If i want both tevez and berba involves 8pt hit. I will be protecting a 10/12pt lead. What is best option?

Personally I'd leave Tevez. I'm gonna do the Rooney to Berbs transfer. I'm chasing an 8 point deficit and don't feel making that 12 to bring Tevez in is worth it.

However, City are playing well and it may be important to pick players that are involved in 'meaningful' games. It's a tough call.

If i got tevez over berba i would capt tevez to make sure hit pays off at v.least. I really dont like an idea of 8pt hit. Am inclined to make just one change without hit, cos even if odem dont play i got cover in barton so i can defo field 11

as soon as lescott scored his header silva was signalling to the bench as stoke were about to kick off. he then willingly went on to run up and down the pitch for 2 man city attacks before the ball went out of play and he went off so that is a positive sign.

Midfield and attack look strong to me. Chicharito might not play, but as it stands you could have no defenders this weekend! I'd draft some in. Guaranteed starters with goal threats - Baines, Ivanovich. Maybe Dawson as Birmingham are rather toothless.

In that 5-0 thrashing of Sunderland where the goals were shared around, but you'd expect a more attacking player to get it.

The bonus judges do like the combo of a cleansheet and a defender's goal though. Still puzzled by Alex's 3 bps on Sunday.

I think he's saying that now they're in 3rd place they qualify automatically if they win their last game.
I don't think anyone envisaged Arsenal losing their last 2 games. Did you?

No.. certainly did not.. Didn't expect Chelsea to concede against newcastle and Arsenal to lose to Villa.

Those 2 results killed any chance I had in my mini league,

Results have been unpredictable to say the least

    Hi guys. Hope you can help;
In my semi in the head-to-head we are on 56p each, so who is going through to the finale? We both have three goalscorers (the same ones actually) and none of us have any CS on our defenders, but he has one on his goalie…! I’ve got the better overall ranking….

Very - have to minimize the hits though. Berbs, Fletcher, N'Zogbia, VDV (injury permitting) and Mr. Tevez all look likely souces of points next Sunday.

Need some advice lads. I am currently ahead of 4 rivals and stand to win 200. There is literally about 25 points between 4 of us. My nearest rival about about 10 points behind me. Im almost certain they will all jump on the tevez bandwagon, as they already have berbs. Will I take a chance on tevez not scoring a few and go with the team below?

My team for GW 38 is

    Foster

    Hang Coleman Zabaletta

    Jarvis Kuyt O’Hara Yaya

    Odem Drog RvP

    “Subs” Lamps R.Johnson Luis

Wondering is is worth a 4 point hit to bring in N’zog for Yaya a d Berb(c) for Drog?

But he's always a threat - penalties, corners, free kicks. I'd have him in my side ahead of Drogba when there's the threat of Torres starting.

Drogba to Tevez or Berbatov seems an obvious move this week.

rooney and drogba out tevez and berbatov in for a 4 point hit sound good for the weekend?

also the main differential of my closet rival is modric - should I also bring him in for barton for another 4 pointer? I have a 22 point lead?
