We were all set to call this episode ‘Lolorov part 2 – to be continued next season’, but during the recording, something rather more fitting cropped up.

The final podcast of the season is with us to reveal that “deprivation” is the key word when it comes to Mark’s season finale. When Sunday rolls around and the hardcore (I include myself in this) are watching the season finale in glorious HD, Mark is set to be consigned to follow the action via a mobile phone. An old boy is 99 not out and our host is booked in to party along with the Werthers originals and rich tea biscuit dunking. Not the season climax our Mark had in mind.

Even so, Mark could still be smiling. It’s the last gameweek of the season and our rivalry comes down to a precarious 7-point gap in my favour. I’ve been ahead since gameweek 21, surely it would be ridiculous to lose it in this final week? I trust you’ll all be routing for #teamgranville come Sunday.

Listen in and sense my discomfort as we start the build up Sunday’s games, complete with the usual sprinkling of regulars and meaningless banter.

  Tough one. Lamps, Adam and Kuyt all on pens and Hitz has a tasty fixture against Sunderland...
  
  If I was in your position, I'd bench Kuyt or Adam with the choice being decided on a coin toss. Kuyt hasn't been as effective since Carroll has returned to the side.

Current midfield/forwards are:

Lampard, Silva, Toure, Adam, N'Zogbia
Rooney, RVP, Odem

1st transfer is Rooney to Berbatov(c). Should I make 7 from these without a points hit, or look to bring in Tevez? Can do this with either a 4 point hit to upgrade RVP, or an 8 point hit through upgrading Odemwingie and swapping Silva for O'Hara (means benching Toure though). Got a 34 point lead in my s/l.

    But what about swapping Silva for O'Hara and Odem for Tevez? An 8 point hit but gives me a line-up of:

Anyone thinking Chamakh or Bendtner might lead the Arsenal line instead of RVP against Fulham?! It's a pretty meaningless game and Wenger might want to freshen it up after the home loss to Villa.

    They'd have to go through a qualifying round if they finish 4th, which in all reality they're going to have to because they couldn't manage to lift their game against Villa.
    
    It's a pretty meaningless game in the context of the season.

    Thanks - I'm slightly worried Lolarov will make a 1 pt cameo, but I suspect I will play him.
    
    I also felt that RJ was 5th choice, but was confused by another site tipping him for the gameweek:
