Here’s some last minute team news revelations from the Chelsea camp – well, maybe not revelations, but certainly handy confirmations. Carlo Ancelotti has announced a partial lineup for today’s clash with Everton via Chelsea TV exclusive published just this morning…

β€œFernando Torres will play, Petr Cech will play, John Terry will play from the start, Alex will play, Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard.”

The Chelsea boss also confirmed that he will be without Jose Bosingwa, Ramires and Youssi Benayoun for the Goodison encounter.

The list of confirmations is significant in that it suggests that David Luiz will again sit out having been dropped to the bench for the 2-2 draw with Newcastle. We’re likely to see the same back four at Everton that started that game, with Branislav Ivanovic at right-back.

Moving to midfield and the inclusion of Lampard is no surprise but at least reassuring to his owners. The absence of Ramires could be significant however – he started against the Magpies to be replaced in the second-half by Florent Malouda – the Frenchman could now earn a recall to the side for today’s game along with Michael Essien who may come in for Chelsea’s Young Player of the Year Josh McEachran.

The mention for Torres would suggest a start up front and that could well mean that Didier Drogba finds himself on the bench having had to settle for substitute appearance against Newcastle. Ancelotti could also go with both strikers of course having started with Benayoun in a 4-3-3 last weekend. Nothing is certain then – but at least Ancelotti has lived up to his billing as the Fantasy Manager’s friend by giving us some strong leads.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Bent, balotelli, VDV > Tevez, Berbatov, N'Zogbia for an 8 point hit?

Or not the Bent > Tevez?

        Possible.

But, by golly, it would be hard for him to flop at home, against a Blackpool side that must try and win and with all his team-mates doing everything possible to get him chances to score so that he can win the golden boot.

I think clean sheets are unlikely for both keepers. Wigan and Brum have to win, these games might become very open at some point (unless Wigan scores early which automatically means no clean sheet for them). But Spurs will make more shots than Wigan since they play at home and since they are Spurs, I can see a lot of saves for Foster in this game, he has to work a miracle to give Brum a chance to stay in the premier-league.

    cap berb or rvp?

34 pts in the lead and rvp is rivals obvious (not certain however) capt choice.

    advice appreciated

Where's the rumours come from that Luiz might play DM or RB? Is it wishful thinking based on Mikel/Essien and Ivanovic not being named by Ancelotti or more than that?
