The second instalment in our series of Members articles looking at Fantasy consistency sees defenders come under the microscope. Aiming to highlight those players who week-in, week-out offer solid returns, we’ve taken a larger sample size than the previous Goalkeepers article and analysed the top twelve in terms of points per game in 2010/11.

Although there are four Chelsea players here -in addition to two from Man City – the Blues defenders most definitely vary in average returns and consistency. Who’d have thought, after all, that Ashley Cole was the least reliable Fantasy pick of our featured quartet last season?

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Riots in Tottenham started because Redknapp made a bid for Heskey. Riots in Birmingham started bacause Villa rejected it..

Peaceful protest on Saturday turned ugly. Cops stood back and watched. Every mongrel in London decided now was a good time to get a new TV and throw a few rocks.

What do we think of Nasri now then? More likely to get in my team if he's at city, him and Silva would be qualityyyy, question is will he be ready for Swansea?

Also I would like to make a request (probably repost in morning/early tomorrow evening as people will be more awake then). Would anyone be kind/helpful enough to make a list of each teams predicted back four and keeper, I'm sure this would be very useful not just for me but many others who constantly ask the same questions.

    Cheers lads

    Given Kenny
    Taylor Cole Lescott Samba Simpson
    Moses Silva Nani Formica Sinclair
    Drogba Bent Johnson

    What ya reckon?

    My main worries are:
-no RVP or Rooney. You think one of these is essential? I'm hoping to get away without RVP till GW4
-enough captains choices? Really only got Bent, Drogba and Nani, maybe Silva at a push.
-Not enough penalty takers! I think i've got 2 in there (3 if Lampard isn't on the pitch i suppose)

Oh and FYI the squad seems to rotate ok for the first few gameweek and i have £1.0m in the bank.

It's disgusted how far we've let moral standards slip in this country. Amoral, narcissistic, dissafected.
These riots just show how many people are walking around with a moral compass based on "what I can get away with" in their heads.

MATE, I might SEEM seriously hypocritical here, but do you think this looting is right? The police are allowed to do something, and there are one or two in a minority of police officers that commit violence for little or no reason.

Now think of the people out there now, compared to the police, its wrong. They protect us, and I'm sure if 10 looters came into your house right now, you would phone em straight away. Cock.

I've seen the police beat people up, and agree that the looting is very wrong, but there is an awful lot of hypocrisy in these events. Yes, it is a minority of police who beat people up but it is also a minority of people and youths who do the same thing.

Were you just saying that rioters violence upon police would be returned in an amplified response come a later date?

I'm a bit confused as to what you're saying ...

Clearly I'm out of the loop as I'm not seeing these reports/video/images as you folks are ... but (some) Police will visit a disproportionate response upon rioters for violence committed against the police. That's an empirically proven phenomenon.

Not to say who's 'right' or 'wrong', but it *will* happen.

Wenger apparently. Jeeesh, at least we got decent money this time. Good player from the little bits I saw last season, but not exactly the solution to Arsenal's woes. Or my FF woes come to that.

I prefer NZog and Rooney to Nani and Bent. One of the main reasons is that Rooney more easily turns into RVP for the Swansea game.

+1. Cant see Nani and Bent outscoring Rooney and N'Zog. Thats before you take into account the extra 0.5M, ability to easily get RvP when he blows up AND having a more valuable captain choice.
