The second instalment in our series of Members articles looking at Fantasy consistency sees defenders come under the microscope. Aiming to highlight those players who week-in, week-out offer solid returns, we’ve taken a larger sample size than the previous Goalkeepers article and analysed the top twelve in terms of points per game in 2010/11.

Although there are four Chelsea players here -in addition to two from Man City – the Blues defenders most definitely vary in average returns and consistency. Who’d have thought, after all, that Ashley Cole was the least reliable Fantasy pick of our featured quartet last season?

    0.5 in the bank for bosingwa > Luiz & Carrol > Suarez, or something else dependent on who plays best/worst and potential injuries. So can't decide though.

        I've since tweaked again (I know, this is all futile)...

        Swapped Malouda for Downing and playing him, then bring in Malouda/Lamps the next week...

        Does mean Baines is on the bench now... unless I bench Holt.

      Given and Begovic's fixtures go much better together than foster and given. Better than any other combo infact if your spending 10m on GK's.
      Get ferguson out of there quick time! Vaughan = Risque. Young = will he play?

    Mark if you're still around. When does the new site launch? If its after the season begins then the RMT filter might be slightly like locking the stable door after various horses have bolted.
    No pressure or owt though 🙂

      I don't think the RMT filter will be useful really until next year. It can't be launched until it's 100% ready so until then we're stuck here.

        It's just not just an RMT filter anyway.

        And while July/August may see the most 15 man squads printed we'll still get an awful lot of "should I do this with my team?" or Would you buy Suarez and Dunn or Zamora and Silva?" questions - and that will come in use.

          Am I right in thinking that in Betatest 1 you had the capability to flag other peoples posts as 'Seeking Advice' was there, but in Betatest 2 that had been reduced to only being able to flag your own post as 'seeking advice'.

          silva is currently city's best attacker. not much goal threat wise but i can see him getting assists and baps when they win.
