The second instalment in our series of Members articles looking at Fantasy consistency sees defenders come under the microscope. Aiming to highlight those players who week-in, week-out offer solid returns, we’ve taken a larger sample size than the previous Goalkeepers article and analysed the top twelve in terms of points per game in 2010/11.

Although there are four Chelsea players here -in addition to two from Man City – the Blues defenders most definitely vary in average returns and consistency. Who’d have thought, after all, that Ashley Cole was the least reliable Fantasy pick of our featured quartet last season?

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Did anyone see the interview with the guy who owned the furniture stored burnt down in Croydon?

5 generations of a business gone. Absolute disgrace. I cant believe these morons are happy to just go around mindlessly destroying peoples livelihoods just like that.

Olympics are here next here? Absolute embarrassment... smh

Who can blame them, they probably had to wait 2 minutes before they could buy their chocolate bar at the end of school. I think burning a building down is appropriate behaviour.

Come on Moses, people don't just do this stuff for no reason. You can take an outraged Daily Express/Mail view on life and "string them up" or whatever, but that solves nothing. Our country is f*cked, we have no respect for out neighbours and no respect for anyone else. That is the real problem.

Of course my previous was extremely sarcastic based on the previous page.

I'm sure some people do believe they have some reason for this, not that there's ANY excuse for it. But lots of others are just joining in for the hell of it. Same as the student protests. The people causing damage didn't care one bit about fees.

            1. So, instead of just dissing anyone and everyone, what do you think needs to be changed?

            2. Why do you think people have gone to such exteme lengths to express theur discontent?

            3. Why do you think that people would want to mindlessly destroy in our society?

A bit of light conversation 😉

That's just it. They do. I've grown up in London all my life. Places like Hackney and Brixton having been breeding these thugs for years.

They were looking for an excuse to excite their jobless lives and they found it in the death of a man who was carrying a gun.

Nothing justifies what they're doing, even if I'm wrong.

Getting close I think... Interested in your thoughts on my gambles/differentials.

Going with a strong defence and not taking any risks on the new boys to the league... I think people might be bitterley disappointed with what they get out of likes of Sinclair (Chelsea 3rd stringer) and Taarabt in the top flight.

Stick with Campbell and others who are proven imo.

    Given (Ruddy)
Cole Evra Kompany (Jose Enrique - pending transfer) +4.0

Dembele not prominent pre-season so can do better for his money - i.e. DJC, AJ. Not so sure about Holt, but spruiked.

I think you struggling for a 3rd defender there, so as much as i like your MF, think you might need to downgrade Downing a little (considering you have Carroll) and upgrade someone like Foley or Wilko.

      All the best!

Cheers. I had Zamora but then downgraded him. See what you mean about the defender, especially as 2 of them are 'doubtful' at the moment. Perhaps I'll downgrade Dembele and upgrade one of the defence.

Moses has had a great pre season and is looking very good. He has a lot of faith from the manager so he may be exploited more in the match. Norich at home maybe the easiest fixture for wigan in the whole season. Great potential. At the least he will play the whole match (+2) and will get at least 2 bonus points, and high chance of assist or goal. I predict 3 bonus, 1 assist, 1 goal so 2+3+3+5 = 13 * 2 = 26 points. Possible. Nani may rival this though...

No I can see a lot of smoke, and its quite scary. Not smoke really but flames and a wavy cloud going up into the sky, still believe what i did believe but there are more important things.

So that Copper was there in an attempt to restore order to the streets of Britain and prevent the homes and livelihoods of men, women & children from being raised to the ground & he takes a brick in the face. You then think this is funny & come on a football site to take the p$#s, it's not right or fair. You are a seriously offensive individual.

The problem with the army is they can't do much except fire on the looters- which could happen if it gets seriously shit and they declare martial law. That's 99.9% unlikely though.

Tear gas and rubber bullets would be far more useful than the army.
