Let’s not dilly-dally shall we. The Scout chatroom has opened for the dawn of a new Fantasy Football season with the The Saturday Surgery here for the last-gasp panic.

There will undoubtedly be even more panic than normal on what is arguably the busiest, and most fraught, period of the whole season.

We’ve opened three rooms in anticipation of a potential abundance of users, we encourage you to spread about and help those as they help you with your last minute quandary.

The first Saturday Surgery of the season is open.

    In seasons past FFS would have provided an update on this annoying problem, but now they've struck a deal with FPL nothing has been said incase it's in the way of criticism.

      How can the game be updating? This is ridiculous. I feel most sorry for those who haven't been able to enter a team at all and now won't be able to play the game all year. I really don't believe anyone is attempting to fix this.

        Remember though. Its a FREE game. This isn't a blue chip company with millions at their disposal.

      Just want to say it is ridiculous that they spent all summer updating the FPL site, delaying it's release by about 2 weeks, only for it to cock up on opening day!

      It was fine before ffs, it seems all that extra time was spent on cosmetic changes: changing the colourful background into a grey wall of death and making the kits more high-res. What a waste of time and effort!

        Similar boat here... I know had some daft defender picks. I've got Rooney, RVP and Lamps in the team, probably all on the bench. I'll have Orr as captain no doubt.

        Can't wait to find out my team and cheer them on (whilst wishing nothing good for Bent, Holt, Enrique and Lescott).

        You can join a league at any stage of the season, so you should be ok there.

      I'm gutted at not having the team I wanted, but it's not the end of the world. I think I'll have 11 out there. And it is only a game, and we've got heaps of time to make up the 20-odd points we may miss out on.

      But if one more person says "fail to prepare, prepare to fail", I'll remove their liver with a sharpened spoon.

      I think in retrospect the FPL should respond with one of these two options:

      1) Extend deadline till 1.30pm.
      This was the course of action when the olympic ticket server crashed with the 11.30pm extended for 24 hours!!

      2) Introduce a WildCard for everyone for GW2 only.

      I seems they were more intent on the websites interface this year instead of it actually working! LAst years website had the charm and character as it was simple and worked!!

        no they cant do 2 as some of us have setup a team more suited for the first 10 or so games rather than just 1. if it was just the first week i wouldnt have got lampard bent nzog etc

        Thanks...since 9.30 last night it's been pretty crazy...we've also had our issues to be fair but things should calm a little now.
