Let’s not dilly-dally shall we. The Scout chatroom has opened for the dawn of a new Fantasy Football season with the The Saturday Surgery here for the last-gasp panic.

There will undoubtedly be even more panic than normal on what is arguably the busiest, and most fraught, period of the whole season.

We’ve opened three rooms in anticipation of a potential abundance of users, we encourage you to spread about and help those as they help you with your last minute quandary.

The first Saturday Surgery of the season is open.

    It's only one GW lads, chin up. Yeah it's a shambles, but hopefully it'll be sorted by next week and all will be forgotten.

      i know it is. but we're way past 11.30am now, and the servers are actually back up. the game is just 'updating' i.e. we won't be able to log in until the games have finished.

      time to chill out and move on

        I thought about a possible switch with Malouda, but I think it would have left me with too much to do to bring in Chelsea players for next week.

        Still, if I was picking a team for this week only, I'd be hard pushed not to go with Theo.

            Yeah, not sure why but just had a real hunch now that Nasri is seemingly out of the picture.

            He's 3mil cheaper, too, which means you're less exposed to Arsenal and he doesn't take away from one of your three striker spaces.

            I don't think you could have both RVP and Walcott because it would leave you a helluva lot to do if you wanted to avoid Arsenal's games against Liverpool and Man Utd.

              thats what i was thinking. very disinclined to invest too heavily in arsenal atm.

              but as a budget option, i know its been discussed before, do we all think ramsey's going to fill in for cesc?

              i'd assume that when wilshere's fit then ramsey will be pushed further forward.

    The work league I'm in has shrunk from 82 last year to less than 30 this year, people can't be bothered with the new crappy site because there are constant problems logging in and delays with the mobile site, what was wrong with the old setup? It's not like they didn't know the volumes involved or when the peak times would be. And lets face it, it's pretty bloody naughty that nobody can login to the site for hours and hours before the final deadline and they haven't done anything to delay or extend it.

            If two of our best players leave, a replacement will come in. Wilshere and Ramsey have another year under their belt.

            Our defence is poor? We finished 4th last season WITHOUT Vermaelen. Our defence is already better then last season.

                I'm not bashing arsenal :/

                personally, im not too worried about cesc leaving, and even nasri to a certain extent.

                the biggest concern is a continuing inability to deal with set pieces comfortably.

    My post got kinda lost on the last page. If anyone know the answer to my question please respond.

    A mate of mine did not get to join the mini league because of all the problems. If he joins before the next gameweek, will he be one week behind the rest pointwise, or can he take the points he earns i gw1 into the minileague?

      As long as he set his team up before the deadline, he can join a classic mini-league (not a head to head) at any point during the season – with all his points intact.

      He will keep his points earnt in the 1st gameweek. He could join it in week 10 if he wanted and would take all points earnt with him, it just takes a week to slot in place so no worries.
