FPL Clarification – The Checklist

There still seems to be some confusion amongst the Fantasy Premier League community regarding a number of elements associated with the changes implemented by the game this week.

To clarify matters, we’ve put together a list of points that has, this afternoon, been checked and confirmed by the FPL.

  • Transfers made this week are all free. Any points deducted from your total will be refunded to you once the Gameweek two deadline has passed.
  • Any Wildcards played in advance of Gameweek two will be returned to players once the Gameweek two deadline has passed.


  • The number of transfers you make in advance of Gameweek two’s deadline will be wiped and reset to zero once the deadline passed. This will mean that they will not count against you and become a factor should you be tied on points with a manager in your mini-league.


  • Price rises are frozen ahead of Gameweek two. Once the deadline has passed all transfer totals that are collected by players will be reset. Therefore, players will need to accrue further transfers in and transfers out next week in order to have their price rise or fall.


  • Gameweek one points will remain in the game and count towards the FPL overall points tallies. Mini-league admins can decide to reset their mini-leagues to start on Gameweek two should they wish. In the interest of those managers unable to log in and make changes prior to Gameweek one, Fantasy Football Scout will reset their mini-leagues accordingly.

      Tchoyi may be at risk if Odemwingie doesn't leave because the baggies will have two good strikers upfront, and may be unlikely to play Tchoyi in an advanced role. However, on the basis that
      - he's a goal threat
      - he's being played in the hole behind the striker
      - he's a decent player
      - my team is called 'Tchoyi Story'
      ... I've got Tchoyi in my team already.

        Are u sure? Coz I'm thinking more about Dempsey. 1st of all he scored 2 goals vs Dnipro 2night, what is more he often plays as a forward, not midfielder. And still dont know how N'Zogbia will fit in AV, and The Villans have more offensive players than Fulham...

    At the moment i have A)with Surman as i have Sinclair from Swansea
    I also Have Lampard - is Torres and Lampard too much of Chelsea?

    Cech - out for up to a month, with internationals at the start of Sept... according to the press association, he could miss two matches and could be in contention for the Sunderland match on Sept 10...

    Element of speculation here re. when he will be available obviously, but might be worth having a 'Hilario plan B' alright...

      Think taarabt is unproven and a waste on the bench
      Dont have much faith in Nzog and zamora has 2 away games!
      fulham are poor away from the cottage

      +1 for originality, but I can only see Rooney delivering the goals to be honest.

        Yeah I am worried about front line and think will change Heskey. Went really top heavy last season and my defence let me down badly. Thought I would try and go strong defensively to begin with. Having serious doubts now though

    Yeah - I didnt know who to go for though. Had Malouda but after last week dumped him and coudltn decide on who to go for out of the others. Brought Silva in who I think should be a winner for the whole season.

    I just had to ask as I was getting worried. Am I the only person to have Lampard? I want Chelsea cover but I see Lampard as a better pick than Torres or Malouda.

    Thoughts?
    Im set on having lampard as was going to have him gameweek 1 with a few to these 2 weeks but bailed last minute.
    Is Torres and him too much Chelsea?
    Midfield feels a bit weak.
    Team looks set for the next 2 weeks, but would require 2/3 transfers week after - RVP, AGUERO AND yaya maybe at that stage for Torres,Bent and Lamps

        Will Chelsea score 4/5 the next 2 weeks and i miss the boat will Torres.

      Its good. I'd go Torres ahead of Aguero for GW2/3 though. Boswinga could pay off. The 6.5 mids are tricky to pick at the moment. Went for Brunt myself even though he killed me last season when I had him.

        Thanks man! Yup, I dont like Boss and the 6.5 midfielders personally as Boss is rotational risk and the 6.5 mid are too inconsistent. But it gets me an ideal coverage of lamps, rooney, kun, suarez esp for capt consideration.

        Torres for Kun? Sounds gd... Just need to find out more abt whether Sulky is a rotional risk too... Thanks again!
