As if out of sympathy for the Fantasy Premier League, or podcast recording software crashed at the death this week. Finished. Kaput.

Panic ensued – hands on head there were cries of “I can’t go through that again” from host Mark as I desperately attempted to recover our lost words. Luckily, temporary files restored, our fifty fourth episode was rescued and rebuilt like Ledley King’s knee. Hopefully it won’t collapse again next week – like Ledley King’s knee.

Within it you’ll find unusually muted tones as Mark and I dissect the events or rather “non-events” of the weekend. Frustrations vented, this week’s broadcast picks up to its usual pace and departs on an optimistic note.

    I know its top heavy. Cole and Kompany seasons keepers. Rooney can become RVP, Torres Aguro and later will downgrade Bent to bolster midfield.

    Any other thoughts?

      Same idea as me, but when you get shot of Torres you will want Chelsea cover.So Lamps will get you more points as a captain than Kompany and Cole in defence.

      Aguero to Torres and if that is Ebanks-Blake change it immediately and maybe do Taraabt to Sinclair and do Suarez to Bent.

      Also the only place Aguero's price is going is down because when he likely gets one point away at Bolton people will transfer him out.

      It's obviously good but i'd want a Chelsea attacker to captain for 2 or 3.
      Not mad on 4 heavy defenders, i'd sooner ditch Bosingwa fr a 4-4.5m and upgrade Moses to Sinclair/Brunt.

      Personally I wouldn't go for Aguero yet. He's already got 26% ownership, that could near 30% by 11:30 Saturday. And it'll probably continue to climb into next week. But chasing value at the cost of points ain't right.
      I don't see how he'll start this weekend though. Mancini quite likes Dzeko and he scored last week so he certainly won't get dropped. Added to that, Aguero came on for De Jong - there's absolutely zero chance of him starting that way away at Bolton so I just don't see him changing much from last Monday.
      That'd mean you'll be relying on Aguero to come up with the goods as a sub once again
      If he doesn't put at least 4 or 5 points on the board you'll have many of the 400,000 knee-jerkers that bought him this week transfering him out for whatever striker does the business. Then you're faced with a tough match against Spurs which were tight games last season. Then again, even if he scores poorly other people will continue to bring him in, since his 15 or 16 points ought to be near the top of total points scored.

        Agree with those points on Aguero. Also Tevez is still around which clouds the issue further. I think I'll wait another couple of weeks to get him.

        Clear logic Scratch. I think the fixtures are key so just leave City till GW4 and go with Torres, Bent & Rooney plus Lamps in midfield. All got 2 home games in a row.

        That way you can swap Torres for Aguero and Bent for Saurez when their fixtures get better, while still keeper nailed on captains in Lamps and Rooney/VP

        How did you do last week? I remember you had a good team set up at one point.

          I scored rubbish. Captained RVP and opted for Malouda and Carroll as my heavy hitters. Defence saved me from a total disaster.

      I don't see Aguero's price rising as sooo many now have him,it requires a very large number to bring him in after GW2.Because of this extra wildcard with prices frozen I see very few price changes compared to last year for several weeks.

    i'm not won over by Torres. Even when he was at Liverpool and scoring i still chose RVP, Rooney or Drog.
    I just think he's in such a scoring funk, i'd wait till he pulls a few decent games together.

    Gonna get slated for this but I think Aguero's price could fall in the next few weeks because Mancini will only want to bring him on as a sub because of the tough fixtures.

    I could see him only getting one point in both these weeks and then loads of people will transfer him out.

    Am I correct or Am I stupid.

    Woodgate or Senderos (worried about both of these..:/)

    4.5m midfielder out of: Derry,Henry,K.Dyer
    (this way i dont double up on any 'lesser' teams unless somebody can convince me otherwise its gotta be from those 3)

      i am going with big 3 at front, because i middle there is weak choice, besides Nani/Young and Silva/Yaya and dont see any other. In Liverpool Suarez is better than any other middle player.

      I like it. I have a similar defense, so it's interesting to see how others put their team together with that back line. (I did shoehorn Lamps) my plan has always been about the first 7 GW's. Then, if I need, I'll wildcard and change things up.

          I agree, Chelsea is tricky at the moment. That's why I've taken the plunge with Lamps, he costs more but at least I know he will play.
